Buffalo Jill of The Week Courteney

This week, we take a look at 4th year veteran ambassador Courteney as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. In her four seasons as a Jills Ambassador, she’s not only accepted the role but she’s embraced it. It’s no big secret that the fortunes of the Buffalo Bills have been down for over a decade now and fans need some positivity before games these days. Most fans rely on the camaraderie at tailgate parties to help them keep a positive attitude but sometimes that’s not enough. The Jills Ambassadors’ primary job in pregame is to greet the fans at the tailgate parties, sell calendars, and stuff like that. If a Bills fan only gets a chance to talk to one and needs a positive attitude, Courteney is the girl to see. It’s rare that she’s ever in a bad mood although it’s unsure whether the positivity was originally there or if it comes from the fact that she and her husband still act like they’re newlyweds over 3 years since their wedding. You can read more about Courteney at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=82 Courteney's secondary photo comes from the Bills Season Ticket Holder Draft Party held in April at the Healthy Zone Fieldhouse. Shown posing for some pictures from a few cameras are Nicole L, Courteney, Jacki, and Jill.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Amanda V

This week, we take a look at 3rd year vet Amanda V as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Anchoring one end of Christina's line next to Lindsey C, this future attorney is known to be kind of a lead foot when it comes to driving. Thankfully that lead foot only exists in the car as she's been dancing for several years and has even travelled some of the country as a dance and cheer intructor. Amanda is the type of girl who seems to be always on the go. She loves staying busy and has a hard time getting bored with all the activities that she likes to do. You can read more about Amanda at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=49. Amanda's secondary photo comes from the late September game against New England and was taken while the Jills were in Stampede Row waving to the fans before the Bills came onto the field. Shown in this photo are Christina, Nicole L, and Amanda V.

Meet Amanda in this short video taken at 1st cuts with intro by Jills choreographer Kelli Wagner.

Wearing matching outfits, 3rd year vets Gina and Amanda V performed together at 1st cuts and both looked outstanding in them doing their routine.

Facebook page relaunched!

Crime happens to pretty much anyone, including the Buffalo Pro Cheer Blog as someone apparently hacked my Facebook page last week and shut down the Blog's Facebook page. Why someone has anything against the Jills, the Bandettes, AND the Blondes Vs Brunettes of Buffalo organization is beyond me. I waited almost a week to see if Facebook would fix it on their own to no avail. In this day and age when social media like Facebook and Twitter are so valuable to a brand, I could wait no longer and relaunched the page at https://www.facebook.com/BuffaloProCheerBlog. The Facebook page will allow people to see all the Blog's great content as it becomes available right there on their Facebook wall feeds. There's frequently even a lot of content that goes onto the Facebook page that doesn't go to the Blog itself.
The investigation into what happened to the old page is still ongoing with legal charges pending.

The Jills on Thursday Night Football

The game itself had 2 storylines going in. The last few games, the Bills had been putting up a good fight against some string teams in Houston and New England but failed to deliver the finishing blow in each game and against the Miami Dolphins, who diehard Bills fans have hated with a passion since the 1970s, they had a chance to turn it around. The other storyline brought into light the Bills' recent record in primetime. The last time the Bills won a primetime game was in 2001 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the last home primetime game they won...the 2000 Opener against the Tennessee Titans, the 1st game for 13-year Jills vet Omarlla and Jills coordinator Nichole as Buffalo Jills rookie cheerleaders.
Valerie introduced as Jill of The Game

With the weather getting colder, the Jills needed to switch into something more substantial than the little skirts and tops they wear indoors and in warmer weather and for Thursday Night Football, they introduced some snazzy new outfits that should help keep them warm as the weather turns to Buffalo weather. Before the game, 7th year vet Valerie was introduced as the Jill of The Game (they've been saying Jill of The Week but that's hardly accurate since no one gets that distinction when the Bills are on the road) and the Jills put on a performance before a big salute to the US military and veterans.

Next up for the Jills, some will be appearing at a comedy show called "My Big Funny Peter" by Peter C Bisuito next Saturday night at Babeville's Asbury Hall at 8pm. See all the info at https://www.facebook.com/events/311527878944909/
Next Sunday, the Jills will have girls at Bambino Bar and Kitchen as well as at Rochester's Quaker Steak and Lube for the game before returning to the Ralph on December 2nd when the Bills host Paul Posluzsny and the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 1pm kickoff.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Kristina

This week, we go back to the vets in our Buffalo Jill of The Week series with 2nd year vet dancer Kristina. Anchoring one end of Valerie's line next to Maria, she's the girl the rest of the squad would go to if they want to know anything about the food they're eating or staying in shape. She finished up college this past spring with a Master's degree in Nutrition after already getting her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Now that she's in the work force, she's already looking forward to getting to take some big vacations. She's already been to Paris and plans on Italy next in her tour of the world. You can read more about Kristina at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=81 Kristina's secondary photo is a sideline shot from the Home Opener and features Kristina, Kelsey H, and Jacki as they look towards some action going on in the endzone area.

Meet Kristina in this short intro video from 1st cuts with commentary from Jills choreographer Kelli Wagner.

Some girls make sure they get to try out together but Kristina went by the luck of the draw and wound up trying out alongside eventual squadmate Jayanti at 1st cuts.

Chrissy, Stephanie O, and Jessica

From the Bandettes comes a photo taken at the Bandits-Stealth game and was taken while the girls were waiting to head out for pregame. Shown posing for the camera are three of the most stunning blondes the Buffalo Pro Cheer Blog covers...3rd year vet Chrissy, 2nd year vet Stephanie O, and 3rd year vet Jessica.

Buffalo Jill of the Week Chelsea

This week, we take a look at rookie beauty Chelsea as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Spending her rookie season on the Jills Ambassador Squad, she actually gave a shot to trying out for the Jills a few years ago and God only knows why she didn't make it. Truth be told, when she showed up at tryouts in 2011, I thought she should be trying out. Most girls give up after one disappointment and some try again the following year. There are a few, like former Ambassador captain Keisha, who take a few years away and come back and make the Jills wonder why they weren't selected the 1st time they tried out. That's the group Chelsea falls into and in the time since she first tried out for the Jills, she got her life really in order with starting a successful career and buying a house. Speaking of her career, there's one thing that rookies generally need to learn that she hasn't needed to do. As a skin care specialist/makeup artist, she landed the account for the Jills and after working with girls on the squad with their makeup the past few years, it's not a tough gig working on it for herself. Of course, even without that job, she knew what she was doing, considering her best friend is a Jills alum from the 2005 squad, who looks even better today than she did when she was on the squad. You can read more about Chelsea at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=52 Chelsea's secondary photo comes from the Bills Home Opener against the Chiefs. Shown posing for a photo are Alyssa B and Chelsea.

At first cuts, fans got their first introduction to the Jills' makeup artist when Kelli told them about her as she modeled her little black bikini.

Lisa to The Pro Bowl

Tonight, the Buffalo Jills selected their representative to the 2013 Pro Bowl and selected to go to Hawaii is 6th year vet Lisa!  The selection is no surprise at all as, in her 2nd year as co-captain, Lisa's always been one of the most well-liked girls on the squad both for the way she carries herself and represents the Jills and for her magnetic personality. The week after January 20th, she'll be flown to Hawaii to participate in a series of appearances at events surrounding the Pro Bowl as well as get to practice with her Pro Bowl squadmates. She'll receive a DVD beforehand with routines to learn for the game and get plenty of advice from Omarlla, Christina, and Valerie, all 3 of whom have represented the Jills at the Pro Bowl in past years.

Congratulations, Lisa!!

Buffalo Jill of The Week Kelsey D

This week, we take a look at the 1st of the Buffalo Jills rookies as the Buffalo Jill of The Week. Kelsey D is spending her rookie season on the Jills Ambassador Squad after spending several years dancing and cheering while growing up in the NYC area. In Buffalo for college, she's working on her degree in pharmacology  similar to Alison C, a Jills alum who spent the 2008 season on the Jills Ambassador Squad. Moving to Buffalo isn't the first time Kelsey has spent away away from home as she got a major present for her Sweet Sixteen, a trip to Europe with some of her high school friends. When she gets done with college, maybe she'll be one of the three most beautiful pharmacists in Western NY along with Ali and fellow Jills alum Katherine (2007-08). Afterall, even being from downstate, she's loving how at home she's being made to feel in Buffalo so staying is a very good possibility for her, especially when one considers how strong the health care field is in the Queen City. You can read more about Kelsey at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=54 Kelsey's secondary photo is from the Redskins preseason game and was taken in the 4th quarter. Shown posing for a photo are Courteney and Kelsey.

Don't forget to take a look at Kelsey's introduction to the fans done by Jills choreographer Kelli Wagner.

Amanda T and Chrissy

From the Bandettes comes a photo from the Bandits-Swarm game held on St Patrick's Day, the reason they wore green. Prior to the game, the Bandettes greeted fans at the gates before Kirsten's line went up to the 100 level. Shown smiling for a photo are 2nd year vet Amanda and 3rd year vet Chrissy.
