Buffalo Jill of The Week Danielle

This week, we take a look at rookie dancer Danielle as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. She spent only a season with the squad, dancing on Christina's line next to Christina and Morgan but isn't done dancing by any means. She's working towards her degree in criminal justice but minoring in dance. Now, whether she plans to dance on the big stage again is anyone's guess. We can hope she joins other Jills alumni in October for a massive pregame performance. Beyond that, maybe she'll be giving the Bandettes a look. She certainly wouldn't be the first to transition from one to the other, even just this year with 2 Bandettes transitioning over to the Jills. And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I don't have any inside info on her future plans...it's just some speculation because she only spent a single season with the Jills and if she's minoring in dance, it's hard to imagine her leaving the pros altogether so soon. Danielle is a true Buffalonian in that she's optimistic, something that Buffalo sports fans have had to be for several years. With all the jokes that Buffalo gets for the snow and cold, residents have to be able to handle not only the snow, but the jokes as well. Well, Danielle not only can handle the snow, but actually loves it. Danielle's secondary photo comes from an appearance at Blasdell Pizza in Orchard Park. Shortly after the calendars were released, several Blasdell Pizza locations hosted members of the Jills to sell calendars while the Bills played the Pats in Foxboro. Shown smiling for the camera with calendars open to their photos are Danielle and Amanda V.

Unfortunately, Danielle was one of the few girls that made the squad that didn't get a tryout video taken last year. Instead, here she is along with most of the rest of the dancers at the Bills Open Practice last June.

Buffalo Pro Cheer Photos of The Week

Laura, Murissa
Our first photo from the Jills comes from the 8th Annual Buffalo Jills Golf Tournament and features a pair of great vets. Laura is in her 4th year as a Jills Ambassador and has spent the summer on TV on ESPN2's Redfield Redzone. You see, she's well-known as the Martin Archery Girl but she's also become an avid hunter in recent years and this show is basically about her hunting passion. Murissa is in her 3rd season as a dancer who is best known around the squad for her sense of humor. I can tell you from experience that having her around brightens even the gloomiest of days or moods.

Jaclyn, Stefanie, Jill, Danielle
Our 2nd Jills photo comes from Jr Bills Backers Day at Training Camp two weeks ago. Pictured here after practice are 4 of the Jills dancers who were on hand to help out with the autograph session. Seen here are Jaclyn, Stefanie, Jill, and Danielle. We've introduced you to rookies Jaclyn and Jill recently and if you need any introduction to Stefanie, you're way behind the times as she's going into her 5th season on the sidelines. Danielle, on the other hand, is one of the rookies on the squad and I really can't tell you much about her yet except to say she is a Rochester-area native who's poised to be a great addition to the Jills squad this year.

Lauren B, Ashley, Stephanie
From the Bandettes, we have a photo from before the April game against Toronto featuring 3 adorable rookies. From left to right we have Lauren B, Ashley, and Stephanie. Bandettes tryouts are October 2nd and 3rd at Gold's Gym in Depew. They are closed to the public but it should be soon after that that we'll see who'll join these 3 young ladies pictured here dancing as Bandettes starting in November with the World's Largest Disco appearance November 27th.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Danielle M

Danielle M's first of her two years with the Jills was a remarkable one. She made the dance squad with no cheer or dance experience. It shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone who knows her. She's a quick study on everything she attempts and her athletic abilities (shown off at the Jills softball game last year) surely played a big part in making the dance squad that year as well. Unfortunately, a life that gets busier and busier every year first helped her leave the dance squad for the ambassador squad and now off the Jills altogether. Now her fans are just left with memories...as well as the hope she'll still make it to an occasional Jills event, of course. You can read more about Danielle in the files section of the webgroup (registration required) and check her out in a beautiful white bikini at the Jills' official photographers' site http://www.fishercreativeimage.com/Jills/individual.html#danielle
