Buffalo Jill of The Week Reena

This week, we take a look at 2nd year vet Reena as our Jill of The Week. After a season as a dancer, Reena stepped back and joined the Ambassador Squad in 2011. While it was disappointing not having her dancing on the sidelines, I'm sure there were a lot of fans who visited the tailgates who loved getting to see this beauty up close. Odds are she received a lot of marriage proposals on gamedays this past fall...and those were from guys who didn't even get to know her first. As beautiful as she is on the outside, she's even more so on the inside. She's one of those girls who's genuinely caring and will put herself out for her friends. Of course as sweet and delicate as she can be, she can be pretty tough when she needs to be, as one of her squadmates learned last year. The toughness will serve her well in her chosen career as she got her law degree last spring and is hoping to land a job in the entertainment or fashion industry. Buffalo Jill of The Week Reena

This week, we take a look at rookie dancer Reena as our Jill of The Week. This Indian (the country, not Native American) beauty spent her gamedays on Eileen's line between Murissa and Katie and spends much of the rest of her time working on finishing up law school. Quite often, Jills become close friends after joining the squad and there are some occasions in which friends join the squad together after knowing one another a few years. Reena, who joined the squad when Stacy came back, has been friends with Stacy since they were in kindergarten. They've cheered together for several years and even served as captains together in high school. The name "Reena" means "peaceful" in the Greek language but it must mean completely the opposite in India as Reena is a very energetic young lady and I have a hard time picturing her relaxing very much. She seems to be a bundle of nervous energy at times and can be a lot tougher than she looks, as her squadmate Jaclyn found out at the Open Practice held in November. Finally, in her bio she states that she can't name a favorite musical artist but I have it on very good authority that her favorite song is Will Smith's "Gettin Jiggy Wit It." Reena's secondary photo is from before the December game hosting Cleveland. While waiting to head out onto the field for their pregame performance, many of the Buffalo Jills pose for photos inside that make-shift tunnel that covers the tunnel area. After having been friends since kindergarten, it only made sense that Stacy and Reena would tryout together as seen in this video from 1st cuts.

Buffalo Pro Cheer Photos of The Week

This week's first Jills photo comes from the Jills Open Practice held at the Fieldhouse on June 1. It's a pretty cool event in which youngsters can spend a couple of hours learning a little bit from the Jills (sort of a really short Jr Jills experience) and fans and family can watch as well. From left to right are Reena, Stacy, and Eileen. Reena is a rookie dancer as well as a law student and came to tryouts with Stacy who, as many may know already, is a returning alumnus. Stacy was on the Jills for part of 2007, leaving early due to scheduling conflicts. Eileen, of course, is in her 3rd year as a captain, after several as a co-captain, in her 11th year on the squad!

The Jills' 2nd photo comes from the Saturday Draft party held at the Bills' Fieldhouse and features rookie Emily with 2nd year vet Nicole. Emily, on the dance squad this year, was one of the first rookies we met at the 1st rd of cuts when she requested a photo with Kristen and Nicole. Nicole, of course, is switching over to the dance squad after spending last year as an ambassador.

From the Bandettes, we have a photo from the April 3 game against the Colorado Mammoth. The Bandettes unveiled some new outfits in the 2nd half and posed for photos from a number of cameras before performing for the crowd at the end of the 3rd quarter.
