Buffalo Jill of The Week Shana

This week, we take a look at another of the early departures from the 2008 Buffalo Jills squad. Unfortunately, Shana was only with the Jills for half a season, dancing on Jamie's line between Jenica and Lynn. Besides the fact that 2008 was her first time cheering in an NFL game, it was her first time at an NFL game period. Shana originally hails from Oakland, CA like Bills RB Marshawn Lynch. However, unlike Marshawn, Shana has a protective father who didn't want her going to NFL games in Oakland. Considering how notorious the fans are in Oakland's Black Hole, who can blame him? Thankfully, he allowed Shana to come to Buffalo to go to college and she decided, once here, to continue on past her 15 years of dancing by taking it to the next level in the NFL. While here, she made a lot of friends and, unlike many of us in the area who take it for granted, really appreciated the wonder of Niagara Falls. Taste of Buffalo 2008

The 25th Annual Taste of Buffalo kicked off Saturday with 56 restaurants participating this year and the day was hot in more ways than one. The 88 degree temperature and all the fantastic foods were just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. It was also a great place to see a number of local musical acts, all of which are new to the Taste this year and see friends you haven't seen in months. But the hottest part of all was getting to see plenty of beautiful women, the hottest of which could be seen right in front of City Hall and the 97Rock booth. I'm talking, of course, about the First Ladies of Buffalo, the Buffalo Jills. The Jills were on hand handing out Bills schedules and posing for pictures with fans from noon to 4 and rookies and vet alike seemed to pick up a lot of new fans.

Here's a few pictures from the day that feature Jills rookies Liz, Kristin M, and Shana (who put in 4 hours under the sun) as well as popular veteran Amanda F in a few scenes from the day.

Buffalo Jills Photos of The Week

This week's photos come from the 1st Buffalo Men's Show held at the Hamburg Agri-Center. This was an event that basically celebrated manhood and featured sports celebrities and displays from the Army and a number of electronics retailers, all stuff that guys like. Of course another thing that guys like is beautiful women and there was no shortage of that as the 97Rock Angels put on a bikini fashion show, Playboy Playmate Shannon James appeared, the CW23's Lydia was on hand and last. but far from the least, the Buffalo Jills appeared for autographs, pictures, and a dance routine.
The 1st pic features a trio of rookies. Toi goes above and beyond when it comes to dedication as she hails from Pittsburgh. The fall will be Shana's first time at an NFL game as she grew up in Oakland, and what father would actually want his little girl to visit the Black Hole of Oakland Coliseum? Dana was actually the first rookie we met as she didn't come to the Open workshop on her own, but with returning vets Jess L and Stephanie B.

Our 2nd pic, taken with former Bills All-Pro G Ruben Brown and his motorcycle features 3 rookies and 1 vet. Rookie Stephanie Br is looking forward to her final year at grad school and vet Lisa is coming off a season as the Jills Rookie of The Year. Lonna is, in addition to being an ace at Guitar Hero, someone who can be very self-critical while Amelina, the shortest girl on the squad, makes up for her lack of height with her outstanding enthusiastic approach to dancing.
