2009 Chiefs and Falcons Away game parties-revisited

In mid-December, soon after a big snowstorm was hitting the ground in Buffalo, the Bills were on the road in Kansas City starting up the final quarter of the season with a 4-8 record. The day after the Bandits Open Practice, it was back up to Buffalo for another Away Game party at the Aud. Rookies Courteney and Kelly were on hand for the event and more than capable of lifting everyone's spirits during a rough season. Courteney was already well-known for her positivity and Kelly just knows how to talk to people.

In week 16, the Bills had one away game left and for the Falcons game, Kaitlin and Michelle were on tap at the Aud. All throughout the season, the Jills would mingle with the patrons and after the Jills left for the day, the bar manager made a point of telling me how Kaitlin and Michelle really excelled with the customers, a pretty nice compliment I was able to share with them later.

From the Bandettes comes another photo from alumnae night against Minnesota. Shown posing for a photo are Melissa and Meghan. Besides their Bandettes connection, they also have another connection of sorts...the Jills! After leaving the Bandettes after a squad-record 7 seasons, Melissa was with the Jills from 2011-2013 and while Meghan was never on the Jills herself, her older sister was in 2002. As a matter of fact, that's how she introduced herself to me when she first made the Bandettes.

2008 Bills Away Game Parties Part 2 and some Bayou bartending-revisited

We take another look back at an away game party that was held in 2008, as well as an appearance by some of the Jills bartending at a local hotspot.
The Miami game was the 1st one against a division opponent that season, in week 7, and the Away game parties at Rhino's Rock Bar had gotten to be a pretty popular destination when the Bills were on the road with James from 103.3 The Edge handling things with giveaways and a prize board each week. Of course it didn't hurt to have a pair of beauties from the Buffalo Jills on hand for the 1st half each week and they didn't hold back on the beauty that week as 2nd year vets Amanda F and Lisa were there for the game. During their years on the Jills, they were each well-known for not only their looks, but how easy they were to get along with.

Just before halftime, we were joined by another pair of Jills. They weren't there as part of the appearance though, but to watch the game. In 2008, a group of the Jills customarily gathered at Lisa's place to watch the road games together and obviously that was out that week with her at an appearance. 2nd year vet Ayeshia and rookie Jennifer were at a different appearance at the start of the game and made their way to watch the second half at Rhino's. Amanda and Lisa had made other plans for the 2nd half so Jennifer and Ayeshia hung with me for the rest of the game that looked promising for a while but the Bills couldn't pull out a win.
You can see all the pics from the Miami party at https://buffaloprocheerbuffalojills.shutterfly.com/pictures/8387
As I had posted earlier, Bayou was the favored nightspot for the Jills in 2008 with Jills and alumnae employed there and it being the preferred spot for birthday parties. I went to 4 of those myself and with all the loyalty from the Jills, the nightclub graciously allowed the Jills to run a small fundraiser there the 1st Friday in November. What it involved was some of the Jills doing some guest bartending for a portion of the evening with all the tips raised going to help fund the 2009 Calendar Trip.
I started out my evening at the Buffalo Chophouse spending a gift certificate I had received on the best steak I've ever had. Afterwards, I headed on over to Bayou just as they were opening up. Alecia was already there as it was her regular job but it wasn't long before Val, Lisa, Danielle, and Lynn showed up to learn what they were to be doing behind the bar for the evening and to meet the rest of the staff. Some of their squadmates showed up to support their efforts as well and it wasn't long before the club was packed and a good sum of money was raised for the cause.

From the Bandettes comes a photo from the 2nd home game against the Philadelphia Wings. Taken at halftime, some of the girls were excited to show off their Valentine's Day-themed shirts. Shown posing for the camera before they went out for their performance are LB, Stephanie, Ashley, and Chelsea.

The Jills at the Q for the Season Opener

The Jills working through their routine before the appearance
Obviously the Jills are pretty much occupied with their responsibilities at the Ralph for home games but for away games, they're able to make appearances at places like sports bars and the like to watch the games with the fans. The Q, a sports bar/night club in Jamestown, NY put on a big tailgate and Red, White, and Blue (in remembrance of 9/11) party for the Bills' opening win against the Chiefs and the fans that showed up for the event had a blast. For the game, Murissa, Melissa, Jenny, and Myesha mingled and posed with the fans, signed autographs, and sold calendars as well as helped with selling 50-50 raffle tickets.
Myesha, Murissa, Jenny, and Melissa with a diehard fan

But that was all just the icing on the cake. When you have 4 talented and beautiful dancers on hand, you just have to expect a performance and if you heard the cheers when the Jills finished their performance, you'd think the Q was far more packed than it was. It's not surprising in the least, either. We all know Murissa and Melissa have been excellent dancers in the Buffalo Pro Cheer community for several years. As far as Jenny and Myesha, well, there were only 2 rookies who performed at dinner at the 9th Annual Buffalo Jills Golf Tournament and these were those girls. These 4 girls really brought their "A" game when it came to their performing and with how well they dealt with the fans...I overheard several people still commenting positively about them after they left. I gotta say that the people who bought tickets and didn't show up should really be kicking themselves right now...for several reasons.
See all the pics at http://buffaloprocheerbuffalojills.shutterfly.com/pictures/26780

Coming up next for the Jills, they'll be back performing at the Ralph next Sunday as the Bills open their home schedule. Be sure to stop in the Healthy Zone Fieldhouse as well as the 97Rock and Shredd and Ragan tailgate parties to meet the Jills Ambassador Squad as well as get your 2011-2012 Buffalo Jills Calendars. Also, don't forget that the Lot C pregame performances are on again for 2011. See several of the Buffalo Jills dancers performing in front of the Shredd and Ragan tailgate party before each and every home game this season!

Jills in Jamestown for the Opener

With the Bills starting out on the road for the 2011 season, The Q, a nightclub/sportsbar located on West 2nd Street in Jamestown, NY, is holding a big Tailgate Party on September 11th and a quartet of Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders will be on hand for the event. The price is ‎$20 presale and $25 at the door. There is a limit to the first 500 only though so if you wait until the day of the event, you might not get in. Ticket purchase includes entrance to block party Live Music, 10 tvs playing The Buffalo Bills Game, entry into jersey raffle, chicken bbq lunch, $1 beers at the beer tent, chance at free Bud Light gear and Jack Daniels gear, free taste testing of new Jack Daniels flavors, picture and autograph opportunity by The Buffalo Jills, opportunity to purchase new Jills swimsuit calender, live dance performance by The Jills and a lot more.
It isn't every week that you get an away game party with the Jills an hour and a half out of Buffalo so it's definitely a must-attend event. Yours truly will be there as well with it being so close to home and the camera will be hard at work getting lots of pics...don't miss out!

Jills update

Just wanted to pass on the word that the 97Rock Away Game parties at the Aud are no more. Unfortunately, the Bills' record scared the Aud off from holding the parties. However, everyone knows how devoted Bills fans are to their team, especially with the impressive offensive output shown against a tough Ravens "D" and 97Rock is hoping to find another host for their Away game parties that come complete with lots of giveaways as well as appearances by a pair of Buffalo Jills cheerleaders. Any sports bar in the Buffalo area that has lots of TVs tuned into the Bills game every Sunday should get into touch with DJ Jickster at 97Rock if they're interested in making their bar THE bar to be at when the Bills are on the road. The Contact link can be found at http://www.97rock.com/contactus.asp
Also, if you don't own or manage a sports bar in Buffalo and don't want to go out to one to watch the game, the Jills and Tops have been awarding a tailgate party every week this season. For road games, a pair of Buffalo Jills will deliver a tailgate party with lots of food from Tops and even hang out to watch part of the game with you. For home games, the winner doesn't get home delivery from the Jills, but they do still get the prize package and will just have to swing by Citadel Studios to collect it. Go to http://buffalojills.net/Article.asp?id=1933027 to sign up or test TOPS to 68683 to register

Photos from the Pats 97Rock Away Game Party and Blasdell Pizza

With a change at QB, the Bills went into Gillette Stadium today where they've never won and came up short in an exciting game that gave fans hope to see the season at least made respectable with a 38-30 loss to New England. Nowhere were the cheers louder than at the Aud Sports Bar in Depew where Jickster and the Jills were for the 97Rock Away Game party.

Of course, the cheers weren't just for the plays as Michelle and Alyssa of the Jills were there with the new Buffalo Jills Calendar to sell and autograph for the fans. Considering Michelle went through her whole stock of calendars and has to get more, I'd say the calendars were a hit.

After the game, it was off to Blasdell Pizza where Jills were stationed at 3 locations with their calendars as well. I swung by the location near the stadium myself and got to spend some time with rookie dancers Amanda V and Danielle as they sold some calendars and signed some autographs for the fans.
Next up for the Jills, they're back in action at Ralph Wilson Stadium the next 2 weekends as the Bills host the Jets and then the Jaguars. Don't forget to stop in the Fieldhouse to say hi to a pair of the Jills Ambassadors as well as stop by the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate parties to see more of the Ambassadors and get your calendars before they run out. And don't forget to be there at the Edge Tailgate at 11:30 to see some of the Buffalo Jills dancers perform; a new addition to that tailgate party this season.
In non-Jills news, Bandettes tryouts take place this Saturday and Sunday at Gold's Gym in Depew. Go to http://www.bandits.com/article.asp?cType=News&artID=197 for all the info on this event that's closed to the public.

More on the Buffalo Jills Calendar

First of all, saying this year's calendar is hot would be an understatement. Don't believe me? Check out this video of 97Rock's Rob Lederman getting his first look at the calendar at http://www.97rock.com/video.asp?vxSiteId=a8efb803-28f5-452a-ae02-9bd81b149a81&vxChannel=WGRF%2DFM%20Originals&vxClipId=2381_1057631&vxBitrate=300

Obviously any guy would love to get one and you can get them from any of the Jills at their appearances. Tomorrow is an excellent chance to get them and get some autographs as well. First up is the 97Rock Away Game Party at the Aud Sports Bar in Depew. Besides drink specials, a halftime buffet, 50-cent wings, and plenty of giveaways from Jickster and 97Rock, a pair of Jills is there for every away game this season.
After that, Blasdell Pizza is the place to be as there will be members of the Jills will be at all 3 of the Buffalo area locations from 3-5 selling and signing their 2010-2011 swimsuit calendars. Just stop by locations on South Park in Blasdell, Seneca St in Buffalo, or Southwestern Blvd in Hamburg to get yours. http://www.blasdellpizzawings.com/locations.html
Also, the Buffalo Pro Cheer Jill of The Week schedule will be posted soon after I get my copy of the calendar but as you can plainly see, the series has started with last year's Dance Vet of the Year Lisa. Stay tuned for the rest of the schedule before the weekend is out.

Pics from the 97Rock Away Game party at the Aud-Packers game

Vincenza, Jickster, Gina
The last few years, Citadel Broadcasting, the primary sponsors of the Buffalo Jills, have gone all out for Away games in addition to the big parties it throws for home games. 103.3 The Edge held Away game parties partnered with a local sports bar including drink and food specials as well as plenty of giveaways. They also made sure to bring in a pair of Buffalo Jills cheerleaders, in uniform, for the games. This year, 97Rock and DJ Jickster have taken the ball and run with it, to borrow a football analogy. Like last year, this year's parties are held at the Aud Sports Bar on Transit Road in Depew, a place named after the famed Memorial Auditorium which comes complete with plenty of memorabilia from the old Aud. For today's event, fans got free raffle tickets and anytime the score changed in the first half, they got to choose any of a number of prizes from the table filled with plenty of stuff like t-shirts, keychains, bottle coozies, and lots more in addition to drawings for larger prizes. Also, in attendance were a pair of beautiful Buffalo Jills Ambassador Squad members in the forms of rookie Gina and 4th year vet Vincenza. They helped with prizes, talked to fans, and took photos while watching the game with everyone. Check out the pics at http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2010/Packers-Road/
Next week, it's going to get bigger so make sure to show up earlier than just before kickoff to enjoy the festivities. While I don't know exactly what extra stuff Jickster will have going on, I can tell you that there will be calendars for sale at long last. The calendars finally arrived from the printers the other day and the girls will be picking them up this week. While it's definitely turned into a much longer wait than normal, I can assure everyone that, going off the cover shot that was shown at the Golf Tourney and by knowing Jills photographer Brian Garman's work, it'll be worth the wait.

The Jills at the final Edge Away Game party of the year

The Bills' 2009 season drawing to a close brings up a lot of positives as well as negatives for the fans. Some of the positives are things like only one more week of poor football being played and an opportunity for players to get healthy and the team to get re-tooled for the 2010 season. There's also all the memories that were created, some bad and many good. Among the good were the Edge Away Game Parties held at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew, which featured great food, drink and wing specials, lots of prizes, and visits from a pair of Buffalo's beautiful Jills cheerleaders.

Among the negatives though, is the fact that some of these same Buffalo Jills might not return next season and next week's home finale is the last chance to see some of them. There are 3 of the 37, at least, who have already decided they won't be returning in 2010 and while we can hope they each reconsider (hint, hint), we know many move on whether we like it or not and all we can do is wish them well. There's also the chance that they could return in the future and that brings us to the pair of Jills who were at the Aud for the final Edge Away Game Party of the season. Kaitlin and Michelle are Jills dancers who each spent time with the squad in 2007 but not in 2008. Kaitlin is known as a former Ambassador who made the move to the dance squad this year while Michelle gets a lot of notice every week with her tumbling abilities on display during many routines and performances. They both, thankfully, have plans to be back in 2010 at the present time.

http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Falcons-Road/

While the game itself may not be the most fantastic thing to watch next week, the Jills always put on great performances no matter how the Bills are doing. Members of the Ambassador Squad can be found at the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate parties prior to the game starting at about 10am posing for photos and selling some of their smoking hot Swimsuit Calendars. You can also catch a couple of them inside the Fieldhouse shortly after it opens meeting the fans and even playing a bit of Family Feud as well. But don't wait until the last minute to get inside the stadium as the Jills put on a fantastic pregame performance before the players come out on the field for the game. With captains Omarlla, Eileen, and Christina, the Jills lines will be performing all game long in addition to a big performance between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Why am I telling you, the loyal readers, all this? This may be the last time you'll see some of these girls perform and I know, I for one, will be saddened by this. While the brand of football displayed by the Bills most of the season has been unwatchable, the Jills performances by the dancers as well as the Ambassadors has more than made up for that.

The Jills at the Edge Away Game Party vs KC

With a 4-8 record and little shot at the playoffs, one would think that Bills fans would lose interest in watching their team in a meaningless game against the also-struggling Kansas City Chiefs. However, many diehard Bills fans didn't care that their team would soon be out of it as many of them not only watched the game, but went to the Aud Sports Bar in Depew to see it after a snowstorm hit the area only a few days ago.

The reason for fans filling the Aud was more than just seeing the game alongside fellow Bills fans. All season long, the Aud Sports Bar has been the host of 103.3 The Edge's Away Game Parties. With drink and wing specials, a halftime buffet, and the largest prize table in the region, fans flocked to the Transit Road location for not only those reasons, but a chance to meet a pair of beautiful members of the Buffalo Jills. This week, fans watched a Bills win over the Chiefs in the company of 2 Jills rookies. Kelly is a dancer on Omarlla's line during home games who, along with a pair of her squadmates, put together an impromptu routine for the Tailgate Warriors show filmed back in August that, sadly, didn't get on the show. Courteney is a member of the Ambassador Squad who is probably as cheerful as anyone on the squad. You can meet her at the 97Rock or 103.3 The Edge Tailgate next week before the Bills host the hated New England Patriots.

http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Chiefs-Road/

Next up, the Jills will be cheering on the Bills against the Patriots* and there are still plenty of seats left for the game so Bills fans can help the Jills cheer on the team in an upset win. With the turmoil going on in the Pats' locker room of late, the timing could be perfect for the Bills to tally their first win against their divisional rival since the 2003 Opener.

The Aud Sports Bar will be the place to be on Dec 27th, however, as not only a pair of Jills will be in attendance, but they'll be drawing for a new 47" television set. If you've entered at any time this year, you still need to be there to claim your prize.

The Jills at the Edge Jags Away Game Party

After a week in which the Bills fired their head coach and benched their starting QB, Bills fans weren't sure what to think of their new look Buffalo Bills but many of them showed up at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew to find out. In addition to the game, wing and beer specials, and prizes from 103.3 The Edge, fans got treated to a visit from 2008 Pro Bowl Buffalo Jill Jessica and this week's Buffalo Pro Cheer Blog Jill of The Week Stephanie B, who visited with fans, posed for pictures, and signed autographs during the game. The game itself ended in disappointment with a loss for the Bills fans. But the day at the Aud was anything but disappointing to the fans that got to meet Jess and Stephanie.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Jags-Road/
The Jills are staying busy this week with plenty of appearances.
For one, you may be able to catch a few of them on Wednesday as they visit 97Rock's DJ Jickster as he camps out at Rosa's Home Store on Union Road in Cheektowaga. He's hanging out there collecting food for the Food Bank of Western NY which needs lots of help in these tough economic times. See all the details at http://www.97rock.com/Article.asp?id=1593461&spid=21994
Also that morning, be sure to tune into 103.3 The Edge as Morning Bull interviews one of the Jills from 7:30-8:30. Yoy can even listen online at http://www.wedg.com/ and call in with your own questions (no personal phone number or email requests please, though...lol)
Also, if you're looking to dance off all the food you put it on Thanksgiving, head across the border to Dragonfly Nightclub in Niagara Falls, Ontario where some of the Jills will be appearing for Industry Thursdays on American Thanksgiving. See the details at http://buffalojills.net/appearances/details.php?recordID=62

The Jills next take the field next Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium when the Bills host the hated Miami Dolphins at 1pm. Meet the Ambassadors inside the Fieldhouse and at the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate parties before seeing the dancers perform before and during the game, a game in which HOF DE Bruce Smith will get his HOF ring at halftime.

The Jills at the Edge Titans Away Game Party

The Buffalo Jills are one of the only squads in the league not sponsored by the team they cheer for. Instead, their main sponsor is a set of radio stations that actually airs the Bills games. One of these stations, 103.3 The Edge, has Away Game Parties featuring food and drink specials, halftime buffets, the largest prize table in Western NY, and a visit by members of the Buffalo Jills in uniform. This year, the Edge Away Game Parties are held at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew, a sports bar with plenty of memorabilia all over the walls from the recently demolished Memorial Auditorium.
The 2009-10 edition of the Buffalo Jills got their first game experience cheering in Canton, Ohio this year at the annual Hall of Fame game when the Bills faced off against the Tennessee Titans. Now deep into the regular season, the Bills once again faced off against the Titans, this time in Nashville's LP Field, the site of the Bills' last playoff appearance. For this game, against an opponent the Bills last faced outside the Hall of Fame, the Jills sent a pair of Hall of Fame quality Jills in 10th year vets Omarlla and Eileen. Even with all their experience on the squad, they've yet to cheer for a playoff-bound team, which is actually quite saddening. For all they've given to the team, you have to hope the Bills will reward their long tenure with the chance to perform in the playoffs. Unfortunately, with the Bills putting in a poor performance in their game, the chances for that happening this season are looking slimmer by the week. Thankfully, Omarlla and Eileen's contributions to the Jills and the Bills have always been first-rate and we can only hope these two beautiful ladies keep performing for several more years, or at least long enough that they can cheer in the playoffs like they deserve to.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Titans-Road/
There will be a number of opportunities to see some of the Jills before next week's Edge Away Game Party as many of them will be visiting with 97Rock's DJ Jickster on Thursday as he lives in a truck until it's filled with food for the less fortunate. Stay tuned to 97Rock to find out where he and the truck will be parked.
Also, Bob Weaver Motorsports in North Tonawanda is having an Open House Thursday evening from 7-9 with Jills in attendance for photos and autographs.
Also, don't forget to tune into 103.3 The Edge Wednesday morning at 7:30 to hear Bull interview one of our beautiful Jills with the phone lines open for questions.

The Jills at the Panthers Away Game Festivities

After last week's win in the Meadowlands against the division rival Jets, the Bills' next opponent lay in wait for them in the form of the Carolina Panthers. Little did the Panthers know that a large contingent of Bills fans would be there to help cheer the visiting Bills on to a 20-9 victory over the home team. While a large number of the Bills fans there were transplants from Western NY, there was also a good-sized contingent of fans making the trek down from the Queen City.

Even with the large number of fans driving or flying down to Carolina, fans still filled the bars of Western NY to watch the Bills game on TV and, like last week, nowhere was that more evident than at the Aud Sports Bar in Depew where 103.3 The Edge hosts their Away Game Parties. Food and drink specials as well as the region's biggest prize table are a big part of the draw. But obviously, to really draw in the crowd, some beautiful women had to be there as well and this week, it was in the form of Jills Ambassadors Keisha and Kristen, who spent most of the game mingling with the fans as well as taking photos and signing autographs.

While the goings-on were wild for the game at the Aud, it was a more relaxed atmosphere at Sole Restaurant in Williamsville where the vivacious Valerie served drinks to the patrons there to have dinner and watch the game as well as meet one of the most popular of the Jills around.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Panthers-Road/
Coming up next for the Jills, a number of them will be at ECC-North on Saturday helping out with the Safe & Seen Halloween event for the kids. You can bring your kids in full costume where they can visit different themed booths for candy and treats but make sure the Jills booth is one of your stops..
Next Sunday, the Jills are back at the Ralph looking to help the Bills gets to .500 as they face the visiting Houston Texans. Meet members of the Ambassador Squad as you visit the Bills Fieldhouse as well as the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate Parties. While you're meeting them, make sure to pick up your Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar and get it autographed by them on the spot. If you've already picked up your calendar and gotten it autographed, there's something else you can get from the Jills, besides photos, that is. On November 14th, SoHo on Chippewa hosts the Buffalo Jills Annual Calendar Trip Fundraiser. The $20 ticket, which you can purchase beforehand from the Jills ($25 at the door) covers all you can eat pizza and wings, beer, wine from Merritt Estate Winery, and entertainment by the Buffalo Jills. There will also be some great raffle prizes available, including football memorabilia autographed by members of the Buffalo Bills. All 38 current Jills are expected to be there and don't be surprised to see a number of alumni there as well.

The Jills at the Jets Away Game festivities

The Bills ended their 3-game losing skid on Sunday with a 16-13 OT win in the Meadowlands against the NY Jets and as much as fans across Western NY were complaining they were giving up on the season or even the team, you couldn't tell it from the attendance at the Edge Away Game Party at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew as the venue was standing room-only by the time the Bills kicked off to the Jets.
Once again, 103.3 The Edge is putting on Away Game parties for all the Bills road games and this year, the Aud Sports Bar is the place with 40-cent wings, Bud and Labatt specials, a halftime buffet, and James giving away prizes all game long. Also, like last year's parties, when the Bills score, you can put in an entry to win a TV...but they upgraded. Last year was a 42-inch flat screen while this year's screen comes in at 47 inches. The best part of the event is the company, though. Besides plenty of devoted Bills fans, a pair of Jills is there for a part of every game and this week, 3rd year vet Vincenza was joined by rookie Ambassador Alyssa as they watched the game with the fans, posed for pictures, signed autographs, and sold a few calendars as well.

But maybe you'd like a more laid-back atmosphere to watch the game but still want some beautiful women around. Sole Restaurant in the Walker Center in Williamsville featured 3rd year vet Amanda behind the bar for the game and looking every bit as stunning behind the bar as she looks in uniform at the games.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Jets-Road/
Next week, the Bills are on the road in Carolina so if you didn't make it out to the Aud or Sole this week, here's another chance right away with a 4:05 kickoff against the Panthers.
There's plenty more coming up as well before the Jills next take the field when the Bills play host to the Houston Texans on November 1st.
On October 26th, they'll be appearing at a Celebrity Wine-Tasting event for Brian Moorman's PUNT Foundation at Asbury Hall in Buffalo. Get all the details at http://www.brianmoorman.org/wine_pairing09.php
On October 31st, you can meet some of the Jills as you bring the kids to Safe & Seen Halloween at ECC's North Campus in Williamsville. Get all the details at http://www.safeandseenhalloween.com

Away game parties announced!

Last season, 103.3 The Edge held away game parties for the Bills games with appearances by the Buffalo Jills at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park. It appears that Rhino's has closed but The Edge found a new spot to hold the same away game parties with some of the 2009-10 Buffalo Jills. The Aud Sports Bar and Grill is located in Depew and features plenty of sports memorabilia on the walls including a lot from, you guessed it, the Aud, the recently demolished Buffalo Memorial Auditorium.
Like last year's away game parties, James will be giving away prizes throughout the game and the Aud will be providing a halftime buffet as well as drink and food specials every game! Get all the details at http://www.wedg.com/Article.asp?id=872591

Jets away game party at Rhino's

Going into the season, all but 7 teams who started with a 4-0 record since 1990 made the playoffs at the end of the year. Thanks mostly to a play call on 2nd and 5 that ended with QB JP Losman getting sacked on a drive in which the Bills were in a 4-minute offense to chew up clock, with RB Marshawn Lynch ramming the ball down the throats of the collective Jets defense, the Bills lost the ball and had the fumble returned for a TD when all they had to do was hold onto a 3-point lead. That play call and fumble not only lost the game for the Bills but helped make them the 8th team to start 4-0 and miss the playoffs since 1990.

With the play of the Bills the last few weeks, attendance at the 103.3 The Edge Away Game parties at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park has tailed off and here's a few reasons to kick yourselves for missing it this week. The Jills didn't send 2 girls to the party this week, they sent 3. Super-cute rookie dancer Lonna was there along with a pair of 2nd year vets. Providing the veteran presence were a couple of young ladies having big years for the Jills. Vincenza is the covergirl for this year's Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar. The other vet got her year made big just this past week. While NFL players find out on Tuesday, December 16th, who's making the Pro Bowl, the Buffalo Jills elected Jessica a week prior to that, on the 9th.

Coming up next for the Jills is the final away game party at Rhino's on December 21st. The game starts at 4pm and this will be the day that the 42" LCD TV will be drawn for and you must be present to win it.

After that, the 2008 Jills take the field one final time this season as the Bills host the hated New England Patriots* on December 28th at 1pm at the Ralph.

January 16th, the Jills invade Club Paradise in Blasdell for their Adult Comedy Show, emceed by 97Rock's own Rob Lederman. Further details will follow as they become available.

Chiefs game at Rhino's

With the recent 4-game losing streak that the Bills went on, attendance at the 103.3 The Edge Away game party at Rhino's waned a bit this week and the regulars who missed the event are probably kicking themselves after the Bills woke up and clobbered their old AFL rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 54-31. The crowd was louder at Rhino's for this game than it had been the previous 2 away games with only about half the people. Of course 10 scores by the Bills may have had something to do with that. Well, not to kick someone when they're down, but there are some other reasons that the regulars who missed should be kicking themselves. Part of the promotion includes a squares contest in which winners take home prizes like t-shirts and the like for having the correct score at the end of a quarter. Well, this week, there were a few added bonuses. At the end of the first half, one lucky person walked around with a brand new snowboard from Yuengling, one of the sponsors of the away game parties. The final score even got a grill. And of course, with 10 Bills scores in the game (6 TDs and 4 FGs), there were increased chances to sign up for the 42" LCD TV that is to be won at the end of the season.

Another reason for a person to kick himself for missing the party...the Buffalo Jills were, as usual, on hand for the 1st half of the game. 3rd year vet and 1st year co-captain Christina made her first appearance at Rhino's this season and rookie Ambassador Brandi made her 2nd appearance at Rhino's this season.
Next up, you can meet some of the Jills as part of Operation Rock Out Hunger as a few of them will be appearing with 97Rock's DJ Jickster at Rosa's in Cheektowaga as he collects for the Food Bank of Western NY.
Then, if anyone is truly dedicated on getting an early jump on their Black Friday shopping, the place to be is the Fashion Outlets of Niagara from 10pm to midnight on Thanksgiving night. The stores don't open until midnight but Jickster and the Jills will be hosting a tailgate party beforehand.
Saturday night, the focus turns to the Bandettes for an evening as they make their first public appearance as the new 2009 squad. The World's Largest Disco is the place to be if you want to meet 8 of last year's squad returning along with a pair of returnees from the past as well as 5 new rookies. Tickets are sold out for this Buffalo Convention Center event but they can be had from scalpers and places such as eBay and StubHub.
Sunday, the Buffalo Jills return to the Ralph for a post-Thanksgiving matchup between the Bills and the San Francisco 49ers. Meet members of the Ambassador Squad inside the Fieldhouse and at tailgate parties thrown by 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge before watching the dancers on the field and on the sidelines throughout the game cheering on the Bills and showing why the Jills dance routines are almong the hottest in the NFL.

Pats game at Rhino's Rock Bar

After a 5-1 start, the Bills dropped from first to worst in the AFC East with three straight division losses, the latest being at the hands of the hated Patriots in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Back home in Buffalo or, more accurately, Orchard Park, the 103.3 The Edge Away game party at Rhino's Rock Bar was high for the good moments but until late in the game, never too low for the bad. Part of that was because the Bills have been known for slow starts as well as some late comebacks this season and part of it was the company. The Away Game crew at Rhino's is a pretty close-knit group and there are 50-50 raffles for charity on a regular basis there. The first half of each away game is also blessed with the presence of a pair of Buffalo Jills cheerleaders and when you're in the presence of a pair of beyond stunning beauties like Lisa and Alison, it's hard for a mood to go too sour, no matter how lethargic the Bills played. Lisa and Alison spent the first part of the game posing and watching the game with the fans, cheering when the team made plays, covering their eyes when they made bad, and collecting tickets for a year-end drawing for a 42" TV when the Bills put points on the board.

Next up for the Jills is Monday Night Football on November 17th at the Ralph as the Bills host their Lake Erie rivals, the Cleveland Browns. Prior to the game, Alison and the rest of the Ambassador Squad will be at the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate parties as well as at the Molson Ultimate Tailgate Party in Lot C in front of the stadium. The Fieldhouse will be closed for that game. Lisa and some of the other members of the dance squad will be taking to the stage for a pregame performance in that same area as well. Stay tuned for further details on that.

Fish game at Rhino's

It took until the 7th game of the season for the Bills to finally face off against a division opponent and their game against the hated Fish (the Miami Dolphins) started as a close game but, thanks in part to some injuries and some notable players playing hurt, the Bills were unable to handle the Miami passing game and struggled with their own passing game as well.

At Rhino's, home of the 103.3 The Edge away game parties, a light crowd during pregame increased dramatically by gametime and coming in just before kickoff were a pair of 2nd year vets from the Buffalo Jills, Lisa and Amanda F. Also on hand, after finishing an appearance of their own, were Jennifer and Ayeshia, who came by to watch the game with the rest of the fans.
