Buffalo Jill of The Week Jenny P

This week, we take a look at 3rd year vet Jenny P as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. In her 1st season as a co-captain, on Emily's line, Jenny started off her Jills career in a big way winning the dance rookie of the year award. That couldn't have been an easy feat and not just because there were several other outstanding candidates, including a pair of former Bandettes who made the switch to the Jills that year. No, her biggest obstacle was in making it to all the practices and games because she lived, at the time, past Syracuse. When the Jills held their Calendar Release Party a few months ago in Verona, Jenny could've stayed with her folks instead of in a hotel afterwards like everyone else who attended had to do if they didn't want to make the long trek home. She actually had family in Buffalo that rookie year she had told me she could stay with if need be but at the end of the season, at the Jills Comedy Show that January, she told me she never did. Thankfully, that's no longer an obstacle for her as she moved to Buffalo last summer with her (sorry, guys) longtime boyfriend. Besides looking forward to when she will someday be working with animals someplace like Sea World, Marineland, or a large zoo, she's also very interested in what will be going on in Cleveland next spring. She's a big Ghostbusters fan and word is, they'll be shooting the 3rd movie in Cleveland in spring 2014. You can see all of Jenny's pics at https://buffaloprocheerbuffalojills.shutterfly.com/jillsindividualpics/42213 Jenny's secondary photo comes from the Bills-Ravens game. Buffalo Jill of The Week Jenny

This week, we take a look at now-3rd year vet Jenny as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Spending the football games dancing on Omarlla's line between Kayla and Katrina, Jenny heads into the 2013 season as a new co-captain, a promotion that was almost a certainty even if there weren't as much turnover on the squad this year. The reason for that is the fact that she, even among some fantastic rookie squadmates including a pair with several years on the pro level already, won the 2011 dance rookie of the year award. Besides the increased competition in her rookie year, she also had another major obstacle in the distance she traveled for practices, appearances, and games. She drove 2 1/2 hours each way for every game and practice from the Syracuse area her rookie season despite having family in the Buffalo area she could've stayed with. There've been other girls who've traveled long distances before but only one ever topped that since this site has been running and that girl quit the squad early even with fewer practices as an Ambassador. Thankfully, for those who know and care about Jenny, she moved to the Buffalo area late last summer so those late night drives to Syracuse became a thing of the past. No matter where she lives though, I know she'll be circling a date in 2015 to be in the movie theater as she's perhaps the biggest Ghostbusters buff I know and I know she's hoping the rumors of Ghostbusters 3 being on its way are true. You can read more about Jenny at http://buffalojills.com/profile.php?PID=74 Jenny's secondary photo comes from last year's 1st cuts. While lined up waiting to get head shots taken, 3 girls looking to head into their 2nd years on the squad posed for the camera together. Shown posing are Krystin, Jenny, and Myesha.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Jenny

This week, we take a look at our first rookie as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Jenny, who dances on Christina's line next to Natalie and Amanda V, has already made her mark on the squad in a few ways. For one, she drives further than anyone else on the squad with her home being in the Syracuse area. I would have to guess she keeps her iPod fully charged to keep her company on that drive. She even volunteered for an appearance in Jamestown on Opening Day so her normal 2 1/2 hour drive turned into 4. But her contributions so far go beyond that kind of dedication...she's also quit the exceptional dancer as she and Myesha were the only 2 rookies to perform at the Jills Golf Tourney this year. When you have that few rookies doing it, it says something about how great they are as dancers. A lot of girls, when they join the Jills, are still working their way through college. Jenny's already a college grad with her degree in communications and her hope is to be able to use that degree for the ASPCA to help find homes for all the abandoned and otherwise homeless animals around. With all the charities that get a lot of attention, the ASPCA is one that, while the needs are simple to get help, the attention it gets to get that help isn't what it should be. I have a feeling Jenny would be able to help change that.
