Northern Chautauqua County represented on Buffalo Jills

Jenica has had men fall madly in love with her in a matter of two seconds.

Lonna has been seen on national television.

Ashley has posed for swimsuit calendars.

All three of these girls - whose last names will not be revealed for safety's sake - have two things in common.

One, they are all members of the 2008 Buffalo Jills.

Two, they were born and raised in Northern Chautauqua County.

Pics from the Bills Season Finale

A season that started off promising but quickly went off course was mercifully concluded Sunday when the Bills faced off against the hated New England Patriots* The story of the day wasn't the game, however, as gale force winds relentlessly rocked the area, damaging the fieldhouse and the nearby Bills practice field as well as disrupting a Jills practice onfield and bending goalposts in opposite directions. Transformers were blown as well, shutting off power to the stadium and causing speculation that the game could be postponed by a few hours or more.
Luckily, crews were able to repair the damage on the field and power was restored in time for the game but their repairs did nothing for the team on the field as the Bills, despite a herculean effort by backup RB Fred "Action" Jackson, fell to the visiting New England team by a 13-0 final score. All in all, it was fitting to have such a disappointing end to such a disappointing season.
The one aspect of the game that was anything but disappointing was the performance of the Buffalo Jills. Though the winds forced cancellations of the normal pregame activities, preventing fans from meeting the beautiful Ambassador Squad, Laura and Katherine still met plenty of fans as they escorted Billy Buffalo throughout his gameday activities. As for the dancers, even without their captains, the Jills put on inspiring performances all game long as co-captains Eileen, Katie K, and Christina stepped up and led the dancers through their paces, not missing a beat. Of course before the game could begin, the game ball had to be delivered and at the last game of the season, the Jills Pro Bowl representative, Jessica, drew that duty.
While the winds played havoc with the photography (and the videography) here are the pictures from the day, the last gameday performance of the 2008-09 Buffalo Jills. http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2008/Pats%20Game/
While it was the last gameday performance for this squad, it wasn't the last time we'll see these beauties together and performing. On January 16th at 8:30, the Jills invade Club Paradise in Blasdell, NY for their Comedy Show, featuring Joel Lindley from the Conan O'Brien show and hosted by Rob Lederman of 97Rock's Norton in The Morning Show. Prepaid tickets are available for $20 at any Jills appearance the next few weeks or by phone by calling 716-888-9798. They will also be available at the door for $25 the night of the event.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Danielle

This week, we take a look at one of the co-captains on the Jills this year. This is Danielle's 1st year in the position, helping run the Ambassador Squad, and has taken the job and really run with it. She didn't wait long to put her mark on the rookies as while half the squad was on the swimsuit calendar shoot trip this past May, Danielle and fellow 3rd year vet Valerie took the opportunity to organize a "girl's night out" with some of the rookie squad members who didn't make the calendar trip. She didn't stop with just the one though as this orthodontist's assistant regularly organizes get-togethers for nights out as well as away game watching parties with not only rookies but vets as well, helping build camaraderie within the squad. You can read more about Danielle at http://buffalojills.net/bios/danielle.html

Buffalo Jill of The Week Amelina

This week, we take a look at one of the outstanding dancers on the squad as our Jill of The Week. Amelina is one of the rookies on Jamie's line and can be seen on gamedays between Valerie and Eileen. Amelina is the shortest member of the Jills squad at 4'11" when it comes to height but if you were to measure her dance ability and enthusiasm, she'd work out to be one of the tallest. Her enthusiasm is something that's strong in many ways. If there's music playing at a club that she can dance to, she'll be out on the dance floor having a blast. If there's new people to meet, she's front and center to meet them and if there's photos being taken without her in them, she's anxious for you to take the pic again....with her in it this time...lol! She loves to make people smile and is one of the friendliest young ladies you could ever meet. While this may only be her rookie year on the squad, she can boast that she was the first of the current Jills squad to perform at the Pro Bowl, even before Omarlla in 2003. Amelina wasn't selected as a member of a squad as she wasn't a member of a pro squad at the time...too young, for one thing...she was instead selected at a National Dance Competition to perform at halftime of the 2000 Pro Bowl! You can read more about Amelina at

Jets away game party at Rhino's

Going into the season, all but 7 teams who started with a 4-0 record since 1990 made the playoffs at the end of the year. Thanks mostly to a play call on 2nd and 5 that ended with QB JP Losman getting sacked on a drive in which the Bills were in a 4-minute offense to chew up clock, with RB Marshawn Lynch ramming the ball down the throats of the collective Jets defense, the Bills lost the ball and had the fumble returned for a TD when all they had to do was hold onto a 3-point lead. That play call and fumble not only lost the game for the Bills but helped make them the 8th team to start 4-0 and miss the playoffs since 1990.

With the play of the Bills the last few weeks, attendance at the 103.3 The Edge Away Game parties at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park has tailed off and here's a few reasons to kick yourselves for missing it this week. The Jills didn't send 2 girls to the party this week, they sent 3. Super-cute rookie dancer Lonna was there along with a pair of 2nd year vets. Providing the veteran presence were a couple of young ladies having big years for the Jills. Vincenza is the covergirl for this year's Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar. The other vet got her year made big just this past week. While NFL players find out on Tuesday, December 16th, who's making the Pro Bowl, the Buffalo Jills elected Jessica a week prior to that, on the 9th.

Coming up next for the Jills is the final away game party at Rhino's on December 21st. The game starts at 4pm and this will be the day that the 42" LCD TV will be drawn for and you must be present to win it.

After that, the 2008 Jills take the field one final time this season as the Bills host the hated New England Patriots* on December 28th at 1pm at the Ralph.

January 16th, the Jills invade Club Paradise in Blasdell for their Adult Comedy Show, emceed by 97Rock's own Rob Lederman. Further details will follow as they become available.

Jills at Bills Season Tickets For Life

On Monday, December 8th, Larry Norton and Rob Lederman of 97Rock invaded Recckio's as part of a contest in which 97 lucky contestants got a chance to win Bills season tickets for life. The play of the Bills lately hasn't exactly been the greatest enticement for getting those tix so Larry and Rob brought along 3 major reasons to go to Bills games. 9th year vet Omarlla, calendar covergirl Vincenza, and rookie beauty Rita were on hand for the event that ended up awarding a pair of 2009 season tickets to two separate contestants. Buffalo.com's photographer Marc J Wierzbowski was on hand at the event taking photos which can be found at http://buffalo.myspotted.com/galleries/index.php?id=314053

Schedule change in the NLL

The economic troubles in the world these days have affected the sports world in a bad way as the NLL's Chicago Shamrox has suspended operations for the 2009 season. With the loss of one of their teams, the NLL had to adjust the schedule for the upcoming season. How that affects the Bandits and Bandettes is rather minor. Instead of hosting the Chicago Shamrox in the final game of the regular season on April 18th, the Bandits will instead be hosting the Boston Blazers on that date. The rest of the Bandits slate of games remains unchanged.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Liz

This week, we take a look at one of the rookie members of the Jills Ambassador Squad as our Jill of The Week. Liz is one of those girls whose dancing ability was not a detriment to joining the Ambassador Squad as opposed to the dance squad. Many Jills Ambassadors simply don't have as much time to commit to practice as the dancers. Ambassadors typically meet once every other week while the dancers are practicing twice a week, every week. Liz has been dancing since grade school and keeps active in the winter with snowboarding as well. Since she wants to learn to surf one day, snowboarding is a great start although she obviously wouldn't be as bundled up on a surfboard, something beach-goers those days would certainly appreciate. Too bad for them that this statuesque brunette is attached. Beyond that, Liz is aiming to become another doctor with a Jills pedigree like current Dr Amanda K and future Dr Holly. Unlike her squadmates, however, Liz is planning on dealing with the mental and emotional aspects and become a licensed clinical psychologist. You can read more about Liz at http://buffalojills.net/bios/elizabeth.html and don't forget to check out her 97Rock photo album at http://www.97rock.com/Article.asp?id=1091842&spid=21994

Representing the Buffalo Jills in the Pro Bowl is...

Jessica!! This bubbly blonde is in her second year on the squad and is always on the go. It looks like she'll have to take a little down time as she'll be spending the week following the Super Bowl in Hawaii for the annual Pro Bowl game. While the game itself may not be a reason to tune in, it's kinda fun watching for the first of last year's rookies to make her presence known. The game can be seen on Sunday, February 8th on NBC. Beyond the Pro Bowl itself, Jessica will be on hand at many activities throughout the week leading up to the game so keep an eye out for various events that will be televised on ESPN, NBC, and the NFL Network.

Congrats Jess and have fun out there while your family and friends at home are digging through the snow...lol.

Some pics from Toronto's Bills-Fish game

The Bills this year have kicked off a series of games in Toronto meant to help lure corporate dollars down to Orchard Park for the real Bills home games at Ralph Wilson Stadium. As a part of that series, Buffalo beauties, the Buffalo Jills, were on hand for the game and pregame just as they are for any regular game at the Ralph. Unfortunately, another part of the series is highly inflated ticket prices that most blue collar fans can't afford. While I myself wasn't able to attend this game, we aren't going to be deprived of photography of our Buffalo Jills. Lynnie Burak of BuffaloRange.com Bills message boards was on the scene and snapped some photos from the upper deck at the Rogers Centre for us.

Up next for the Jills, we'll have a pair at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park each of the next two weeks for the first half of each game for the 103.3 The Edge Awaay Game Parties.
The Jills next take the field on December 28th at Ralph Wilson Stadium as the Bills finish out the season against the hated New England Patriots.
While making the game to see the Buffalo Jills is certainly a great idea, it won't be the last time to see the 2008 squad this season as the Jills are invading Club Paradise on January 16th for the Jills Adult Comedy Show. Stay tuned for further information, including tickets.

Pics from the Bandits Open Practice

In May of this year, a Buffalo sports team won a National Championship for the 1st time since 1996. While the Bills and Sabres have been breaking our hearts for decades, the Buffalo Bandits consistently have been putting a winning product on the field year-in and year-out. After some early exits for the playoffs and a defeat in the NLL Championship Game in recent years, the Bandits delivered another championship to Buffalo, a city starved for winners.

That was the past and it's time to look to the future, and defending that title and most of the familiar faces return to the field to do so. However, the Bandettes cheering them on will be a lot different as 7 of last year's 15-girl squad chose to move on, going out on top. 8 of the Bandettes return from last year in addition to a pair of familiar faces from a few years back along with 5 fresh faces, all hoping to end the season the same way as last year.

As is tradition, the Bandits and Bandettes get together to hold an Open Practice every December to give the fans a look at what to expect from the 2009 season. For the Bandits, that means a regular practice in front of the fans, giving them a look at who's back and who's not. Afterwards, an autograph signing session takes place, showing the fans how real and human these athletes really are. For the Bandettes, it includes meeting and posing with the fans and recruiting some Junior Bandettes for the upcoming season. The Bandettes also held an autograph session before during and after the Bandits' session and posed for pictures with the NLL's Champions Cup. And of course, what dance squad could get away without doing a performance and at midway through the actual practice, the Bandettes took the field to give the players a break and show off their stuff and introduce themselves to the fans.

Jills return from Balkans

The Buffalo Bills Cheerleaders, the Jills, spent the entire Thanksgiving weekend overseas in the Balkan Region volunteering their time and entertaining the U.S. Troops.

Seven Jills cheerleaders, Jamie, Kristin B, Jill, Ayeshia, Anna, Lisa and Katie gave up the holiday with their families and returned just in time to be back at the Bills game last Sunday. They performed daily variety shows, dance routines, autograph sessions, meet & greets and spent their time with the troops.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Eileen

After spending some time with some of our fantastic rookies, we now turn our attention to someone who's anything but a rookie, but certainly fantastic. Eileen is in her 9th year with the Jills. She and Omarlla are the only two left cheering from the 2000 squad while Jills Coordinator Nichole, a rookie with Eileen and Omarlla, left the field for management in 2006.These three ladies are proof that women don't automatically lose their looks as time goes by...since they each look more stunning every year.

Eileen herself is in her 3rd season as co-captain, assisting Jamie on her line this season and you can see this blonde bombshell between Amelina and Jess on gamedays. Eileen has grown a lot in her time on the squad. When she first joined up, she was looking to become a fashion merchandiser after finishing up schooling in New York City. Thankfully, she changed her mind on moving to the Big Apple and is currently teaching dance here in Western NY and has a degree in elementary education as well. Eileen says that her most admired person is her mother and if you think it's just a cliche, nothing could farther from the truth. Eileen and her mother are very close and if I were to hazard a guess, I'd have to say that Eileen is her own mother's most admired person as well. Eileen's dance career has kept her busy for a long time. She's been dancing since age 3 although if one were to ask her mother, I'm sure she'd say she was dancing in the womb. You can read more about the lovable Eileen at http://www.buffalojills.net/bios/eileen.html

Pics from the World's Largest Disco

Buffalo.com's Chris Brown was on hand at the World's Largest Disco Saturday night and besides all the dance music, and wacky fashions that were on hand along with a few celebrities from the 70s, some of the 2009 Buffalo Bandettes took the stage to dance for the partygoers as well. Check out all the pics at http://buffalo.myspotted.com/galleries/index.php?id=313668

Pics from the Bills-49ers game

Once upon a time, the Buffalo Bills took great pride in their decided advantage in poor weather against warm weather teams. That was back before they spent all of their practices indoors when the weather turned bad. The team that handed the San Francisco 49ers a 26-21 loss in their last visit to Western NY is long gone and even the team that started out the season 5-1 and led the AFC East seems a distant memory as the Bills need to win their final four games and get help from other teams in their attempt to make the playoffs for the first time in 9 years.

While the Bills faltered in their first home matchup against the 49ers in 10 years, the sidelines were filled with ladies who did anything but falter as the Buffalo Jills performed like champions in the cold rain from beginning to end. Prior to the game, fans could get swimsuit calendars, photographs, and autographs from members of the Jills Ambassador Squad. Calendar covergirl Vincenza could be found at the 103.3 The Edge Tailgate party with squadmates Laura and Amanda F while the 97Rock tailgate party featured Katherine and rookies Liz and Alison and there were plenty of fans in both locations meeting these beautiful young women. Inside the Fieldhouse, Brandi and Ambassador Squad co-captain Danielle had their share of fans as well prior to taking the field with Billy Buffalo for the game. Of course before the game could start, someone had to deliver the gameball and Danielle was the one chosen to accompany UPS on the delivery.

Coming up next for the Jills, they'll be heading across the border to Toronto for the first regular season game in the Bills in Toronto series as the Bills face off against the hated Miami Dolphins in must-win game for the Bills playoff hopes. The Jills will be on hand at the Budweiser Tailgate Party which will be going on from 11am-4pm in the parking lot across from Rogers Centre at the corner of Blue Jays Way and Front Street and the dance squad will be putting on a dance performance at about 12:30pm. Admission to the party is free to anyone 19 and over and party-goers without game tickets will have plenty of opportunities to win tickets to the game throughout the party.

Following that, Rhino's Rock Bar is the place to be on December 14th and 21st for the Bills away game parties sponsored by 103.3 The Edge. If you've made any of the parties so far this season, make sure to show up at least on the 21st as the 42" LCD TV is being drawn for that day. You must be present to win.

The Jills finish up the regular season on December 28th at the Ralph as the Bills face off against the New England Patriots* and we can only hope that we'll see the Bills and Jills continue on into the playoffs.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Holly

This week, we take a look at one of our rookie dancers as our Jill of The Week. Outgoing Holly can be found on gamedays on Nicole's line between Kristin B and Ayeshia and even when she's not in uniform, she's usually dancing. Anyone who knows her knows that she's pretty much the life of every party and loves to make people laugh. Beyond that, she's fiercely loyal to her friends and sticks by them through thick and thin. In fact, when asked about Holly's best qualities, close friend and former squadmate Dana said that her best qualities are that she is caring, friendly, outgoing, and always ready to help out a friend. She has a huge heart which may be part of why she made the career choice she did. She currently is an X-ray tech and is working towards a career as a heart surgeon! We already have one doctor on the squad in veterinarian Dr. Amanda and in a few years, assuming she sticks around on the squad (hopefully), we'll have Dr. Holly as well! But cutting people open isn't her only focus. Prior to joining the Jills, she cheered all throughout her school years and even won 5 National titles in 9 years as part of an all-star cheerleading squad. You can read more about the fun-loving Holly at http://buffalojills.net/bios/holly.html

Chiefs game at Rhino's

With the recent 4-game losing streak that the Bills went on, attendance at the 103.3 The Edge Away game party at Rhino's waned a bit this week and the regulars who missed the event are probably kicking themselves after the Bills woke up and clobbered their old AFL rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 54-31. The crowd was louder at Rhino's for this game than it had been the previous 2 away games with only about half the people. Of course 10 scores by the Bills may have had something to do with that. Well, not to kick someone when they're down, but there are some other reasons that the regulars who missed should be kicking themselves. Part of the promotion includes a squares contest in which winners take home prizes like t-shirts and the like for having the correct score at the end of a quarter. Well, this week, there were a few added bonuses. At the end of the first half, one lucky person walked around with a brand new snowboard from Yuengling, one of the sponsors of the away game parties. The final score even got a grill. And of course, with 10 Bills scores in the game (6 TDs and 4 FGs), there were increased chances to sign up for the 42" LCD TV that is to be won at the end of the season.

Another reason for a person to kick himself for missing the party...the Buffalo Jills were, as usual, on hand for the 1st half of the game. 3rd year vet and 1st year co-captain Christina made her first appearance at Rhino's this season and rookie Ambassador Brandi made her 2nd appearance at Rhino's this season.
Next up, you can meet some of the Jills as part of Operation Rock Out Hunger as a few of them will be appearing with 97Rock's DJ Jickster at Rosa's in Cheektowaga as he collects for the Food Bank of Western NY.
Then, if anyone is truly dedicated on getting an early jump on their Black Friday shopping, the place to be is the Fashion Outlets of Niagara from 10pm to midnight on Thanksgiving night. The stores don't open until midnight but Jickster and the Jills will be hosting a tailgate party beforehand.
Saturday night, the focus turns to the Bandettes for an evening as they make their first public appearance as the new 2009 squad. The World's Largest Disco is the place to be if you want to meet 8 of last year's squad returning along with a pair of returnees from the past as well as 5 new rookies. Tickets are sold out for this Buffalo Convention Center event but they can be had from scalpers and places such as eBay and StubHub.
Sunday, the Buffalo Jills return to the Ralph for a post-Thanksgiving matchup between the Bills and the San Francisco 49ers. Meet members of the Ambassador Squad inside the Fieldhouse and at tailgate parties thrown by 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge before watching the dancers on the field and on the sidelines throughout the game cheering on the Bills and showing why the Jills dance routines are almong the hottest in the NFL.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Ashley

On gamedays, you'll find a stunning redhead on Omarlla's line between Omarlla and Lisa dancing up a storm, something she's been doing for the last 18 years. Ashley is in her rookie season with the Jills and her outgoing and friendly nature has made her a perfect fit on the squad, like she was made for the Jills. You can almost never find Ashley without a smile and she finds a way to make the best of any situation or, in the case of Buffalo, any weather. If it's summer, she'll spend her free time in the water swimming and tanning on the beach. If it's winter, she'll spend her time on the slopes snowboarding. Also, don't let her small size fool you...she's no pushover as she's spent some time working to master the art of judo. You can read more about Ashley at http://buffalojills.net/bios/ashley.html

Doors will open at 11 a.m. with the Bandits scheduled to take the field shortly after. Practice will run until 1 p.m. with a special performance by the Bandettes. Immediately following practice, the Bandits and Bandettes will take part in a team meet-and-greet and autograph session.

Monday Night Football pics

After a game on National TV in which the Bills' passing game and coaching were putrid to say the least, we won't waste time talking about the game on the field. Instead, all the comments on this will be about the ladies who performed like World Champions from the pregame through the end of the night, the Buffalo Jills.

Prior to the game, as usual, we could find the Jills Ambassadors at the big tailgate parties thrown by their chief sponsors from Citadel Broadcasting. Brandi, Liz, Katherine, and Sarah handled the crowds at the 103.3 The Edge Tailgate party while Danielle, Keisha, Amanda F, and Vincenza were pretty swamped at the 97Rock Tailgate party selling calendars and pictures with the fans. With Monday Night Football going on, the Fieldhouse was closed and while the official Bills pregame show was being broadcast right next to them, Laura and Alison posed for pictures with some of the fans at the Molson Ultimate Tailgate Party. But the Jills were far from done as the dancers got into the tailgate party as well with a couple of rousing dance performances an hour prior to kickoff of the game over on the far end of Lot C from Laura and Alison. Prior to taking the stage, they even posed with a few of the fans who were nearby waiting to see them perform.

After wrapping up at the tailgate parties, the Jills went back inside the stadium for the game where Laura and Alison spent the evening accompanying the Bills' mascot, Billy Buffalo.

After Eileen took the field to deliver the game ball, the dancers joined her onfield for a pregame performance before heading to the sidelines to help keep the crowd pumped up when the team faltered on the field.

Next up for the Jills, we have the 103.3 The Edge Away game party at Rhino's on the 23rd where we'll have a few of the Jills on hand to cheer on the Bills against the Chiefs alongside a good-sized group of diehard fans. Drink specials, free wings at halftime, and lots of prizes.
After that, Western NY gets to tailgate with 97Rock's Jickster at the Niagara Fashion Outlets on Thanksgiving Night from 10-midnight before the stores open for Black Friday. And anyone who knows Jickster knows that he doesn't do an on-location appearance like this without some of the Jills. Only in Buffalo will people tailgate for shopping!
The Jills next take the field at Ralph Wilson Stadium on November 30th to cheer on the Bills against the San Francisco 49ers.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Brandi

This week, we take a look at one of the rookie members of the Jills Ambassador Squad with the lovely Brandi. Now, long-time readers may be confused about her being a rookie because they've seen her in photos before this season. Well, there's a few reasons for that. She is one of those girls who doesn't give up. She has tried out before, something that many notable Buffalo Jills have done over the years...missed a cut one year but came back and made it on the squad. Even Jills director Stephanie M missed the cut before making the squad. Another reason we've seen her pretty smile before this season is the fact that she's had close friendships with many of the girls who have been on the squad the past few years. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for Brandi to get a completed bio submitted but beyond telling you about her history, I can tell you she's kind of a quiet girl whose time on the Ambassador Squad this season is starting to make her a more outgoing and confidant young lady. You can check out Brandi's official page at http://buffalojills.net/bios/Brandi.html and don't forget her 97Rock Photo Album at http://www.97rock.com/Article.asp?id=1076833

Pats Away game at Hearthstone Manor

Bill Parker from Buffalo.com was on hand at Hearthstone Manor on Sunday for the 104.1 Away Game party benefiting the American Cancer Society and posted these photos. On hand for the event were Nicole, Valerie, Dr. Amanda, Liz, and Jackie!

Bandettes tryouts

The Buffalo Bandettes held open tryouts recently for the 2009 squad.
Hopefuls met at Gold's gym for the chance to become a member of one of Buffalo's elite dance teams, and cheer on their favorite lacrosse stars.
Bandettes captains taught a dance to those trying out in the two-day audition. The girls then performed the dance in front of a panel of judges, as well as completed an interview section of the tryout.
To see a video of tryouts, featuring Erin Y, Meghan, and Melissa demonstrating a routine, as well as short interviews with a pair of hopefuls as well as 2nd year vet Amanda Z, go to http://www.bandits.com/multimedia.cfm?id=396&media=video

MNF Tailgate Activities to kickoff Bills-Browns game

The electricity and excitement in Ralph Wilson Stadium for last year’s Bills vs. Cowboys Monday Night Football game was unforgettable. Next Monday, Bills fans will get another chance to celebrate Monday Night Football in style as the Cleveland Browns visit Buffalo.
On Monday, November 17, the Bills will host the Molson Ultimate Tailgate in parking lot C (located directly behind the scoreboard and off Abbot Road) from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. prior to kickoff of the Bills-Browns Monday Night Football contest. The event is free and open to the public.
The Molson Ultimate Tailgate activities will include a Hall of Fame exhibit directly from Canton, Ohio, interactive games area, Jills cheerleaders, Billy Buffalo the Bills mascot, souvenir photo opportunities, numerous vendor displays, giveaways and a food and concessions village.

Some members of the Buffalo Jills dance squads will be on stage in Lot C at 7:30 for a dance performance. If you haven't been to any big Jills events this year, then this is your chance to get a look at what the rest of us have been treated to the last several months.

Pats game at Rhino's Rock Bar

After a 5-1 start, the Bills dropped from first to worst in the AFC East with three straight division losses, the latest being at the hands of the hated Patriots in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Back home in Buffalo or, more accurately, Orchard Park, the 103.3 The Edge Away game party at Rhino's Rock Bar was high for the good moments but until late in the game, never too low for the bad. Part of that was because the Bills have been known for slow starts as well as some late comebacks this season and part of it was the company. The Away Game crew at Rhino's is a pretty close-knit group and there are 50-50 raffles for charity on a regular basis there. The first half of each away game is also blessed with the presence of a pair of Buffalo Jills cheerleaders and when you're in the presence of a pair of beyond stunning beauties like Lisa and Alison, it's hard for a mood to go too sour, no matter how lethargic the Bills played. Lisa and Alison spent the first part of the game posing and watching the game with the fans, cheering when the team made plays, covering their eyes when they made bad, and collecting tickets for a year-end drawing for a 42" TV when the Bills put points on the board.

Next up for the Jills is Monday Night Football on November 17th at the Ralph as the Bills host their Lake Erie rivals, the Cleveland Browns. Prior to the game, Alison and the rest of the Ambassador Squad will be at the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate parties as well as at the Molson Ultimate Tailgate Party in Lot C in front of the stadium. The Fieldhouse will be closed for that game. Lisa and some of the other members of the dance squad will be taking to the stage for a pregame performance in that same area as well. Stay tuned for further details on that.

Pics from the Bayou...nightclub

The nightlife in Buffalo is well-known to be of high quality as the Chippewa party district boasts bars and clubs of practically all kinds for whatever your interest. One of the newest clubs, opened back in February and called Bayou, is the largest club on the strip with no cover charge for ladies and 2 full floors with bars and patios. One of their unique promotions is a "guest bartender night" every Friday and this past Friday, those guest bartenders were some of the Buffalo Jills! The usually hot staff of Bayou got even hotter than usual with the addition of Danielle, Valerie, Lisa, Lynn, and Alecia for the evening. In addition to partying at Bayou with gorgeous bartenders, patrons of Bayou helped the 2009 Jills Calendar Trip Fund as half the cover charge for the night went towards that fund.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Jessica

If you could only use one word to describe Jessica, that word would have to be adorable. Jess has that great smile that just makes everyone around her smile. She has an infectious personality that puts everyone at ease and can brighten the darkest day. It's actually been rather helpful to her to have such a positive outlook on everything as she seems to be always working. It's amazing that she can fit the Jills in with college and 2 jobs but we're obviously ecstatic that she finds a way. Before her 2 years so far with the Jills, she's spent 7 years in cheerleading and 16 years in dance, including a stint with the Russian Moscow Ballet in the Nutcracker. Nowadays, she's foregone her ballet shoes and been spending her Sundays dancing on Jamie's line between Jamie and Eileen. You can read more about Jessica at

Jets game pics

During the 1st quarter of the season, Bills QB Trent Edwards, played, for the most part, like an established veteran even with the lack of a complimentary running game. Over the 2nd quarter of the season, however, that lack helped expose the 2nd year passer, especially in the divisional games against Miami and the Jets. The lack of the running game has allowed the opposing defenses to tee off on the young QB and force him into making turnovers bad decisions with the ball. This Sunday, for the 1st time in his career, Brett Favre left Buffalo in a good mood because he didn't come out on the losing end of the game despite the fact that the crowd was in a frenzy most of the day.

But this site is less about the games than it is about the beauties who cheer on the Buffalo sports teams. Prior to the game, you could find members of the Ambassador Squad at tailgate parties put on by 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge selling and signing calendars as well as posing for pictures with the fans. You could even purchase prints of yourself posing with Keisha, Laura, Vincenza, and Brandi at the 103.3 The Edge tailgate party. Inside the Fieldhouse, while the official pregame show was being broadcast, Danielle and Liz took photos with dozens of fans as well before spending the day escorting Billy Buffalo around the field. Following a rousing pregame performance that followed the game ball delivery by 3rd year vet Christina, the dance squads, led by captains Omarlla, Jamie, and Nicole then took to the sidelines to help keep the crowd going loud from the opening kickoff until late in the game.

Next up for the Jills, Danielle, Valerie, Lisa, Lynn, and Alecia will be guest bartending at Bayou on Chippewa on Friday night. Half of all the money taken at the door goes to help fund the 2009 Calendar shoot trip. Bayou is one of the hottest clubs in Buffalo and it will be even hotter with Buffalo Jills as guest bartenders.

On Sunday, you can find some of the Jills at a pair of away game parties. A pair of them will be at Rhino's in Orchard Park for the 1st half of the Bills-Patriots game with the 103.3 The Edge Away game party while Mix 104.1 is sponsoring an away game party at Hearthstone Manor in Depew as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The Jills next return to the Ralph on November 17th as the Bills play host to their Lake Erie rivals, the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football.

Also, clear your calendars for the night of January 16th as the Jills will be invading Club Paradise for their Adult Comedy Show. More details will become available in the next few months.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Amanda F

This week, we take a look at a popular 2nd year vet from the Jills Ambassador Squad in blonde bombshell Amanda F. If we were to use one word to describe Amanda, it would have to be the word "classy." That word can be taken a couple different ways when describing Amanda. First, there's the obvious that anyone can see. Her beauty reminds one of classic screen sirens from the mid-20th century like Rita Hayworth, Audrey Hepburn, and Lana Turner. Prior to last year's first preseason game, a few guys even proclaimed September as their favorite month after seeing Amanda grace that month in last year's calendar. Obviously, they must be rather excited about November getting here this year. But beyond her looks, she also carries herself in a classy manner. She has an obvious air of sophistication about her but is anything but snooty or stuck up. She has a big heart and is fiercely loyal to her friends. Squadmate Laura even had this to say about her. "Amanda is one of those rare people that has the ability to do anything she puts her mind to. Whatever job interview, project, assignment, she chooses or is given...you'll know it'll be done with class and be the best. She's loyal, beautiful, smart. She's got it all and then some." Bandettes welcome 5 new faces and 2 familiar faces

This past weekend, the Buffalo Bandettes held tryouts to see who was going to cheer on the reigning NLL Champions, the Buffalo Bandits! In addition to 5 brand new faces this season, the Bandettes are welcoming back 2 familiar faces to their ranks as well.

Canadian-born Danielle spent the 2005-2007 seasons dancing with the Bandettes and even with her season off, she still contributed some of the choreography last season as she wasn't ready to give up the dancing just yet. Considering she's been dancing since the age of 3 and acting in local plays as well as earning a Bachelor's Degree in Theater, everyone who knows her knew she couldn't stop performing for too long.

Denise only spent the 2005 season as a Bandette but also spent time cheering on other Buffalo teams before and after that. In 1994-96, she was on the sidelines of the Ralph as a member of the Buffalo Jills. She spent the 2000-2003 seasons at HSBC Arena cheering on the Buffalo Destroyers as a member of the Buffalo Bombshells and she even was a part of the short-lived Rush squad cheering on the Buffalo Rapids, the team that, until last month, was known as the Buffalo Sharks.
The next few weeks, the Bandettes will be putting in a lot of hours of practice and you can see them in action on December 7th from 11-1 at the Bandits Open Practice at HSBC Arena.

A few more Jills appearances coming up

On Friday night, November 7th, visit 5 of the Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders as they guest bartend at The Bayou Nightclub on Chippewa. Danielle, Lynn, Valerie, Lisa & Alecia will be helping behind the bar & cocktailing! Come by and say “Hello!”
Also, don't miss the opportunity to meet Paul Posluszny, Donte Whitner, Roscoe Parrish and of course the Buffalo Jills at the Walden Galleria on Saturday, November 15th. Visit www.poz51.com for more information.

More pics from the Buffalo Jills Calendar Release Party

Bill Parker from Buffalo.com was also on hand at the Jills Calendar Release Party taking photos for that site. They can be found at http://buffalo.myspotted.com/galleries/index.php?id=312388

Fish game at Rhino's

It took until the 7th game of the season for the Bills to finally face off against a division opponent and their game against the hated Fish (the Miami Dolphins) started as a close game but, thanks in part to some injuries and some notable players playing hurt, the Bills were unable to handle the Miami passing game and struggled with their own passing game as well.

At Rhino's, home of the 103.3 The Edge away game parties, a light crowd during pregame increased dramatically by gametime and coming in just before kickoff were a pair of 2nd year vets from the Buffalo Jills, Lisa and Amanda F. Also on hand, after finishing an appearance of their own, were Jennifer and Ayeshia, who came by to watch the game with the rest of the fans.

2008 Calendar Release Party Pics

With the weather getting colder and snow approaching fast, one doesn't expect to see women in bikinis in Western New York these days but things were heated up immensely as 38 of the 45 gorgeous members of the Buffalo Jills invaded Club Paradise in Blasdell. 3 dance routines were performed for the partygoers that not only had beautiful dancers, but hot dance moves as well. Christina and Jennifer took the spotlight for the first routine while Nicole, Eileen, and Amelina performed a very sexy routine after that. The Jills finished up the dance portion of the show with a hot routine by Jackie, Lynn, Anna, Valerie, and Jessica before all the squad members on hand took the spotlight showing off the swimwear they wear in this year's Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar. If you missed the party, to say you missed out would have to be an understatement. For those of us who made it, including the CW23's Lydia, on hand as emcee for the night, here are a good number of photos and videos from the evening.

Coming up next for the Jills, they're back at the Ralph to cheer on the Bills against the Jets on November 2nd. Then comes a return trip to Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park for a few of the Jills for an away game party against the Patriots on the 9th. There will also be some Jills at Hearthstone Manor on the 9th for an away game party put on by Mix 104.1, a benefit for the American Cancer Society.

Shredd and Ragan take the Buffalo Jills through Final Fear

Something well-known in Buffalo is how much people put into haunted houses. Recently, Shred and Ragen of 103.3 The Edge took some of the Buffalo Jills through the Final Fear haunted house that's located on the Hamburg Fairgrounds and used a night vision camera to record their fright.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

From the Pro Cheerleader Blog
In the past we've profiled Pro Cheerleaders who are military vets, but this is our first vet who takes care of animals. During the week Amanda K. is an associate veterinarian at a cats and dogs only veterinary clinic not far from Ralph Wilson Stadium. But on Sundays during the fall you can find her dancing on the sidelines as a member of the Buffalo Jills.

The road to Veterinarian/Pro Cheerleader starts in Buffalo where Amanda was born. She moved to Alabama at a young age and when she was about eight or nine years-old, Amanda's pet hamster, Mr. Simply, fell ill. She took him to the vet, and although there wasn't much the veterinarian could do, Amanda was impressed with the caring and concern that he showed.

The experience with her hamster, combined of Amanda's love of science since middle school, pointed her in the direction a scientific career working with animals. She investigated a few options, but eventually decided on studying veterinary medicine. She wanted a job she could anywhere and couldn't imagine herself sitting at a a desk all day long. For Amanda being a Veterinarian was the perfect choice.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Kristina

This week, we take a look at one of our rookie dancers from Nicole's line. On gamedays, you can find Kristina between 2nd year vets Katie C and Jill D. One of the big things the Jills are involved in every year is the Jr Jills program, working with young cheerleaders and showing them the ropes, guiding them along. It's almost like a Big Sisters program over the summer in many ways. Kristina found the program a natural fit as she guides her own little sister along already. Maybe one of these days we'll see them cheering alongside one another on the sidelines at the Ralph one of these days. But beyond that, she says the best advice she ever received was to try and become everything you want to be because you only live once. Well, she tried, and succeeded, becoming an NFL cheerleader, something that so few women ever get to do. She's also not willing to settle for a bachelor's degree...she's going for her master's in marketing. You can read more about Kristina at http://buffalojills.net/bios/kristina.html

Chargers game pics

On Sunday, Ralph Wilson Stadium was the scene as the San Diego Chargers faced off against the AFC East leading Buffalo Bills. People trying to watch the game on TV were out of luck for the most part as electrical problems, caused by helium-filled party balloons that tangled in the stadium's power lines, caused the CBS broadcast to be interrupted a few times during the game. In addition, the scoreboard, sound systems, and lighting were on and off sporadically throughout the bulk of the game. The fans that were there, however, got a great show as the game remained tight much of the day until the Bills surged late in the 3rd with a Marshawn Lynch touchdown and iced the game with a FG by Rian Lindell late in the game and a pair of huge drive-ending plays by free agent addition Kawika Mitchell with an interception and then a forced fumble, the latter of which finishing the game for good as the Bills improved to 5-1 with the 23-14 victory.
The Chargers are well-known for having beautiful cheerleaders and the Jills continue to prove they're at least on par with the Chargers Girls with their beauty and their sideline routines during the game. Members of the ambassador squad posed for pictures with fans and sold swimsuit calendars at tailgate parties sponsored by 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge as well as inside the Fieldhouse while Paul Peck and Rich Gaenzler hosted the Official Bills pregame show just a few feet away. After they were finished in the Fieldhouse, 2nd year vet Ambassadors Vincenza and Keisha joined team mascot Billy Buffalo in his travels during the game.
Unfortunately, the electrical problems caused another problem as well. While the Jills kept cheering on the sidelines and dancing, when the electricity was working, the pregame routine and 3rd intermission routine had to be scrapped for this game. We still have plenty of photos from the day and even the ill-advised contraption that covered over the tunnel before the game only hindered the photography a little.
Next up for the Jills is the Swimsuit Calendar Release Party at Club Paradise on October 25th.
After that, we'll find a few of the girls at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park for the 103.3 The Edge Away Game Party watching the Bills-Dolphins game along with the fans on October 26th. The Jills are back at the Ralph to cheer on the Bills on November 2nd as they play host to Brett Favre and the NY Jets, a team that finally added cheerleaders in 2007.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Lisa

This week, we take a look at one of the 2nd year vets on Omarlla's line. Last year's rookie of the year can be found on gamedays between Jackie and Ashley and has been cheering non-stop since the age of 4 so we can, thankfully, expect to see her on the sidelines at the Ralph for quite a while longer. After coaching high school cheerleaders recently for a couple of years, odds are we'll see some of her former proteges joining her before long. This isn't just because those girls will be at the right age, but because Lisa has a rather magnetic personality and is fun to be around. Her personal motto is Carpe Diem, which means "seize the day" and anyone who knows Lisa knows that's exactly how she is, living each moment to the fullest. You can read more about Lisa at http://buffalojills.net/bios/lisa.html

Buffalo Jill of The Week Alison

This week, we take a look at one of the rookie members of the Jills Ambassador Squad as our Jill of The Week. Alison is a future pharmacist who is a self-confessed shop-a-holic. She loves Buffalo for the outstanding food but hates having to scrape ice off her car to go get it as much as she does. It'd be summer 365 days a year if she had her way. Beyond that, she's an eternal optimist and a big reason for that is her parents, both cancer survivors, taught her how to keep her head up no matter what. You can read more about Alison at http://buffalojills.net/bios/alison.html

Cardinals Game at Rhino's

Attendance at the 103.3 The Edge Away game parties at Rhino's Rock Bar in Orchard Park has been increasing every game it seems and there are a number of reasons for that. First of all, people are finding out about it more and more. Secondly, the dispute between Time Warner Cable and LIN-TV, which owns the station that carries the Bills games, WIVB, escalated and cable customers had to find other ways to watch the game.. Finally, who wouldn't want to watch the Bills game with some of the beautiful Buffalo Jills?
The game itself was something people would rather forget. JP Losman, in for an injured Trent Edwards, had a rather sub-par showing. The offensive line was overwhelmed most of the day, and the defense looked completely lost out there. But there were positives at Rhino's on Sunday. While only 1 Buffalo Jill showed up officially, what lacked in quantity was made up for in quality as it was 9-year veteran captain Omarlla, who tried to hide her anguish at the Bills' poor play. However, she, and Keisha, who showed up to lend her support, didn't hide their excitement at the positive plays, like JP Losman's scramble for a TD late in the 2nd quarter.
Next up, the Jills are back to the field for a home game against the San Diego Chargers on the 19th. After that, the Jills invade Club Paradise on the 25th at 9pm for the Annual Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar Release Party, where there will not only be dancing and raffles, but a fashion show featuring the gorgeous members of the 2008-09 Buffalo Jills in their swimwear from the calendar.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Christina

This week, we take a look at the Jills' newest co-captain. Christina is in her 3rd season with the squad and has been on the fast track to stardom right from the start. Besides being made a co-captain in her 3rd season, she was the 2006 rookie of the year and was placed on the squad's events dance crew within a few months after making the squad, first performing at the 4th Annual Buffalo Jills Golf Tournament. The Jills events dance crew is a group of dancers who are selected to perform dance routines at the big Jills events, like the recent Calendar Shoot Fundraiser. To finish up her rookie season, she joined Autumn, Natale, Jamie F, Jamie R, and Valerie in South Beach for a Beauties on the Beach competition against squads from 7 other teams. Word is, they did pretty well and kicked some butt in beach volleyball. This bubbly blonde is Omarlla's co-captain this year and can regularly be seen between Alecia and Murissa on gamedays. You can read more about Christina at http://www.buffalojills.net/bios/christina.html

Buffalo Jills 2009 Fundraiser pics

Last March, the Buffalo Jills held a fundraiser for their Calendar Shoot to help cut costs on the trip they held this past May. It was a big success with 25 of the 2007 squad in attendance. For the 2009 trip, the fundraiser was bumped up in an effort to cut travel costs even more and 42 of the 45 girls on the squad helped the few hundred guests fill SoHo even more than we filled it in March. They even had to open up the 2nd floor patio bar this time around to handle the crowd. In addition to the larger squad, there was another addition to the event this time around. Anyone who's been to a large Jills event the past several years knows that there's usually a big dance performance involved and with the extra planning time for this event, they put together 2 dance routines performed in the 2nd floor patio bar.
Next up for the Jills are the away game parties with 103.3 The Edge at Rhino's in Orchard Park. The Jills next return to the Ralph on October 19th as the Bills play host to the Chargers but then, the following weekend, October 25th is the date and Club Paradise is the place to be as the Jills put on their annual Swimsuit Calendar Release Party.
