The Niagara Falls Firefighters do a lot more than fight fires in the Cataract City. They also do a lot to give back to the community through things such as toy distribution to needy children at Christmas, clothing for needy children, and a turkey dinner for senior citizens who are stuck in adult care facilities. The Toy Fund is mainly sponsored by a telethon in December and a motorcycle run during the summer. This was the 3rd year of the Motorcycle Run and this year, 97Rock was a sponsor. Of course, no 97Rock event would be complete without the 1st Ladies of Buffalo, the Buffalo Jills.
The Jills came in 2 shifts, with a trio of vets from 2-4 and a pair of rookies from 4-6. Vincenza, Amanda F, and Jenica spent their part of the day selling raffle tickets, meeting fans, and posing for pictures, including a few pictures on top of one of the Niagara Falls Fire Department's trucks with many of the firefighters and the day's volunteers. Rookies Anna and Murissa, after finishing off selling raffle tickets, handed out Bills schedules and posed with fans at the Motorcycle Run's afterparty, including Murissa's personal fan club, her family. Before leaving for the day, they took a walk down to the American Falls for some pictures, both of the Falls and with some fans.
