Bandette of The Week Erin Y

Other than Karla, this week's Bandette of The Week has to be the most familiar to the fans as Erin Y has been with the Bandettes for 6 seasons now. But she didn't start her pro cheer career in 2004, but the year before as a Buffalo Bombshell, cheering on the since-departed Buffalo Destroyers of the Arena Football League during their final season in the Queen City. Like so many of our longtime ladies on the sidelines, Erin doesn't seem to have aged in that time, only gotten better. This year, Erin stepped back as captain and serves the Bandettes not only as a dancer, but as the lead choreographer. She's the one who put together the tryout routine this past October and while many of the individual Bandettes come up with some of the choreography themselves, Erin handles the majority of it herself. Considering she's a dance teacher and has been dancing for 21 years now, she's definitely well-qualified for the role. She, along with Denise, missed the Open Practice this past December and the chance to pose with the NLL Champions Cup with her squadmates. Given the chance to do it over, she'd probably miss it again as she was spending her time at Disney, a world created by the man she most admires. Hopefully, we'll get her a pose with the Champions Cup at the next Open Practice if the Bandits can repeat as NLL Champions, though.
