Buffalo Jill of The Week Kristina

This week, we look at 3rd year vet Kristina as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Anchoring one end of Christina's line alongside fellow 3rd year vet Myesha, Kristina loved that some of the Jills got to go elsewhere for their calendar shoot for the 1st time since 2010. This isn't to say she wanted out of Buffalo, though. While some may think otherwise, Kristina feels you just can't get bored in Buffalo between sporting events, concerts, and festivals. With all that's going on in terms of the harbor development, that's going to be even more true pretty soon. Kristina's about more than just her love of Buffalo, though. She's already accomplished a lot including 2 degrees in 5 years, while studying abroad for a part of that time. The thing about that is...she's not even done yet. She already has a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Nutrition and she's prepping to go back for her doctorate as well. Buffalo Jill of The Week Kristina

This week, we go back to the vets in our Buffalo Jill of The Week series with 2nd year vet dancer Kristina. Anchoring one end of Valerie's line next to Maria, she's the girl the rest of the squad would go to if they want to know anything about the food they're eating or staying in shape. She finished up college this past spring with a Master's degree in Nutrition after already getting her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Now that she's in the work force, she's already looking forward to getting to take some big vacations. She's already been to Paris and plans on Italy next in her tour of the world. Some girls make sure they get to try out together but Kristina went by the luck of the draw and wound up trying out alongside eventual squadmate Jayanti at 1st cuts.

This week, we take a look at rookie dancer Kristina as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Found on gamedays on Omarlla's line between Omarlla and Emily, being physically fit isn't just her goal, it's a part of her chosen career. She already has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and is currently working on her Master's in Nutrition. As far as her actual goals though, beyond her career goals, she wants to see the world. and she's already started with a trip to Paris, France. Given that goal, I would be pretty surprised if she doesn't jump at the chance for a troop visit overseas the next time the Jills are sent on one. As seen in her tryout video, Kristina (on the right) is more than just in great shape as she also knows how to move and put on a great performance when it comes to dancing. Maybe her dream of getting a spot as a backup dancer can be realized given this fact.

The Jills at the benefit for KatieLee Crandall

Living in the Southern Tier, it's pretty rare that I get the chance to get to a smaller Jills appearance, especially as far north as Niagara Falls. Sunday though, after spending time with a Jills alumnus who I became pretty good friends with during her time on the squad, I made it up to the new Buffalo Wild Wings on Military Road where a benefit was being held for KatieLee Crandall. KatieLee recently suffered multiple strokes and some of her friends put together a benefit to help with medical costs. As part of the benefit, a pair of rookie Buffalo Jills were on hand to help with raffles as well as sign autographs and pose for photos. As it turned out, Miranda is actually good friends with the girl who set the whole benefit up and while she and Kristina, who I hadn't met before then, greeted and talked to people, I spent a little time with Miranda's father, who gave me a little inside info on his beautiful daughter, some of which will be shared when she has her Jill of The Week feature this season. Next week, Miranda and Kristina join the rest of the Jills at the 9th Annual Buffalo Jills Golf Tournament which appears to be sold out..so if you didn't order your tickets yet, you're really missing out. I don't golf myself but the Jills Golf Tourney has been the highlight of every summer since 2006 for me...although HoF weekend in 2009 was a close 2nd.
