Buffalo Jill of The Week Jackie
This week, we take a look at blonde stunner Jackie as our Buffalo Jill of The Week. Jackie is in her 2nd season on the dance squad and spends gamedays anchoring Omarlla's line alongside Stephanie. Jackie is very soft-spoken but carries within her a determination to succeed in all she does, whether it be on the sidelines dancing or in her studies working towards a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She actually loves school unlike most people but she seems to see school as a means to an end. All the hard work she's putting in now will help her attain her goals and once she's finished, she may end up finding the cure for the common cold or even cancer. While that may seem a large expectation for this young lady, the fact that she's viewed as one of the top dancers on a squad of extremely talented dancers, it's not that extreme an expectation to those who know her. The only trick may be tearing her away from the beach. Read more about Jackie at http://buffalojills.net/roster/jackie.php and check out the performance from the 1st rd of Jills tryouts that she and Murissa, next week's Jill of The Week, put together at http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/1st%20cuts/?action=view¤t=096.flv

The Jills at the Panthers Away Game Festivities
After last week's win in the Meadowlands against the division rival Jets, the Bills' next opponent lay in wait for them in the form of the Carolina Panthers. Little did the Panthers know that a large contingent of Bills fans would be there to help cheer the visiting Bills on to a 20-9 victory over the home team. While a large number of the Bills fans there were transplants from Western NY, there was also a good-sized contingent of fans making the trek down from the Queen City.
Even with the large number of fans driving or flying down to Carolina, fans still filled the bars of Western NY to watch the Bills game on TV and, like last week, nowhere was that more evident than at the Aud Sports Bar in Depew where 103.3 The Edge hosts their Away Game Parties. Food and drink specials as well as the region's biggest prize table are a big part of the draw. But obviously, to really draw in the crowd, some beautiful women had to be there as well and this week, it was in the form of Jills Ambassadors Keisha and Kristen, who spent most of the game mingling with the fans as well as taking photos and signing autographs.
While the goings-on were wild for the game at the Aud, it was a more relaxed atmosphere at Sole Restaurant in Williamsville where the vivacious Valerie served drinks to the patrons there to have dinner and watch the game as well as meet one of the most popular of the Jills around.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Panthers-Road/
Coming up next for the Jills, a number of them will be at ECC-North on Saturday helping out with the Safe & Seen Halloween event for the kids. You can bring your kids in full costume where they can visit different themed booths for candy and treats but make sure the Jills booth is one of your stops..
Next Sunday, the Jills are back at the Ralph looking to help the Bills gets to .500 as they face the visiting Houston Texans. Meet members of the Ambassador Squad as you visit the Bills Fieldhouse as well as the 97Rock and 103.3 The Edge Tailgate Parties. While you're meeting them, make sure to pick up your Buffalo Jills Swimsuit Calendar and get it autographed by them on the spot. If you've already picked up your calendar and gotten it autographed, there's something else you can get from the Jills, besides photos, that is. On November 14th, SoHo on Chippewa hosts the Buffalo Jills Annual Calendar Trip Fundraiser. The $20 ticket, which you can purchase beforehand from the Jills ($25 at the door) covers all you can eat pizza and wings, beer, wine from Merritt Estate Winery, and entertainment by the Buffalo Jills. There will also be some great raffle prizes available, including football memorabilia autographed by members of the Buffalo Bills. All 38 current Jills are expected to be there and don't be surprised to see a number of alumni there as well.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Gabrielle
This week, we take a look at another one of our stunning rookie dancers with the beautiful Gabrielle. We met Gabby just prior to 1st cuts when she showed up with close friend Kaitlin, who returned to the squad after a season off. Spending gamedays on Nicole's line between Christina and Lynn, she's already made her mark by doing whatever it takes to get the job done. In June, Merritt Estate Winery held their annual Strawberry Festival and one of the features was a dunk booth and Gabrielle volunteered for it. You would think spending a June day going into the water would feel good but with the air temperature in the 60s and the water temperature probably colder, poor Gabby had goosebumps on top of her goosebumps when she finished up. But through it all, she kept smiling even when linemate Jennifer took her (unsuccessful) shots at dunking her. In her personal time, she's actually pretty low-maintenance and prefers a quiet evening at home but she does have big plans for the future. The Jills' Calendar trip this past May kept her interest up in traveling more and she one day hopes to travel the world. With college majors in French, International Business, and Marketing, it's not hard to picture her accomplishing that goal. Check out her and Kaitlin's routine at the 1st cuts at the Town Ballroom at http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/1st%20cuts/?action=view¤t=106.flv

97Rock Photo albums
Last year, 97Rock featured photo albums of the Buffalo Jills on an intermittent basis. Now, it's still early so we'll have to see if they plan on doing that again. If they are, they started off pretty well with the lovely Lindsay, a rookie member of the Ambassador Squad.

The Jills at the Jets Away Game festivities
The Bills ended their 3-game losing skid on Sunday with a 16-13 OT win in the Meadowlands against the NY Jets and as much as fans across Western NY were complaining they were giving up on the season or even the team, you couldn't tell it from the attendance at the Edge Away Game Party at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew as the venue was standing room-only by the time the Bills kicked off to the Jets.
Once again, 103.3 The Edge is putting on Away Game parties for all the Bills road games and this year, the Aud Sports Bar is the place with 40-cent wings, Bud and Labatt specials, a halftime buffet, and James giving away prizes all game long. Also, like last year's parties, when the Bills score, you can put in an entry to win a TV...but they upgraded. Last year was a 42-inch flat screen while this year's screen comes in at 47 inches. The best part of the event is the company, though. Besides plenty of devoted Bills fans, a pair of Jills is there for a part of every game and this week, 3rd year vet Vincenza was joined by rookie Ambassador Alyssa as they watched the game with the fans, posed for pictures, signed autographs, and sold a few calendars as well.
But maybe you'd like a more laid-back atmosphere to watch the game but still want some beautiful women around. Sole Restaurant in the Walker Center in Williamsville featured 3rd year vet Amanda behind the bar for the game and looking every bit as stunning behind the bar as she looks in uniform at the games.
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/Jets-Road/
Next week, the Bills are on the road in Carolina so if you didn't make it out to the Aud or Sole this week, here's another chance right away with a 4:05 kickoff against the Panthers.
There's plenty more coming up as well before the Jills next take the field when the Bills play host to the Houston Texans on November 1st.
On October 26th, they'll be appearing at a Celebrity Wine-Tasting event for Brian Moorman's PUNT Foundation at Asbury Hall in Buffalo. Get all the details at http://www.brianmoorman.org/wine_pairing09.php
On October 31st, you can meet some of the Jills as you bring the kids to Safe & Seen Halloween at ECC's North Campus in Williamsville. Get all the details at http://www.safeandseenhalloween.com

BVB Game pics
The Blondes Vs Brunettes Game is held in various cities across the nation, with its roots in Washington DC. The purpose of the event is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer Association and features a powderpuff flag football game between 2 sets of women. In Buffalo, the 1st annual game was held at Amherst's Sweet Home High School on Saturday afternoon and featured more intensity than local fans have seen on the pro level in a few weeks. Both squads, coached by fitness trainers at Gold's Gym, played hard from start to finish in a game that ended on a 12-12 tie.
The Buffalo Jills themselves were a big part of this event as well with 4 blondes, Christina, Jackie, Jennifer, and Lynn cheering on their team and Katie, Lisa, Murissa, and Gabrielle cheering on the brunettes. The Jills cheered on the sidelines as well as spent some time signing autographs, posing for pictures, and selling raffle tickets. Of course with 8 talented and beautiful dancers, they weren't going to get away without performing as well and they put on a halftime performance for the few hundred fans in attendance.
There was another way the Jills contributed as well, though. Jills director Stephanie M played at OL in the 1st half, drawing complaints from the blondes for her aggressive blocking style. Her blocking served the brunettes well as she delivered a key block on a reverse play for a touchdown by former Buffalo Jill Danielle H (1998-2002). The 2nd half saw Steph at WR playing decoy and drawing tight coverage from opposing defenders allowing her teammates to get open. In the end, the 12-12 tie showed how tightly contested this game was. A game that was supposed to be a flag football game featured a few tackles here and there as the intensity level rose as the game went on. Danielle won the Brunettes' MVP award as she made another big play on a reverse late in the game in addition to her TD run.
Afterwards, both teams retired to Average Joe's Sports Bar for a victory party to collect awards, eat, drink, and even got shots bought for them by the game's referees. Maybe NFL referees would get thought of better if they did that for the league's players...just a thought.
We also had 1 more Jills sighting as former Jill Francine P (2000-02) made an appearance for the game and victory party as well, still looking like she could grab a set of pom-poms and fit right in on the sidelines alongside the 2009-10 Buffalo Jills.
Check out the pics at http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/buffalojills2005/2009/BVB%20Game/ and check out a few media reports from the event at http://www.wivb.com/dpp/news/local/Blondes_play_brunettes_at_powder_puff_20091017

The Jills are going to be plenty busy today with 3 big appearances for the Bills game.
Meet a few of the Jills at the Aud Sports Bar and Grill in Depew for the Edge Away Game Party with wing and drink specials, halftime buffet, and James giving away prizes during commercial breaks and halftime. http://www.wedg.com/Article.asp?id=872591
If you'd like a different atmosphere, check out Sole Restaurant where they feature the Jills behind the bar. Watch the game while getting a drink from one of Buffalo's most beautiful women? Sounds like a winning combination! http://buffalojills.net/appearances/details.php?recordID=50
If you'd like to help out a worthy cause while watching the game, the Suneel's Light Foundation is holding a Tailgate For A Cure at Samuel's Grande Manor in Clarence in an event raising funds to fight Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy. With live music, a buffet, cash bar, Chinese auction, and an appearance by some of the Buffalo Jills as well with the game playing on the big screens. http://www.suneelslight.org/html/tailgate2009.html

Jills on CNN/SI!!
CNN/SI's cameras were clicking at last week's disaster of a football game and got some great pics of something that was anything but a disaster. They have a great set of pics of our Buffalo Jills in action with photos of Angelina, Anna, Jackie, Stephanie, Murissa, and Vincenza. Buffalo Jill of The Week Joya
This week, we take a look at rookie dancer Joya as our Jill of The Week. Spending her gamedays on Eileen's line between Jill and Anna, she's loving the chance to perform in front of 73,000 fans. She took a gradual build-up in excitement levels, starting off with the Hall of Fame game and going through preseason and ending up with the Home Opening win over Tampa Bay. While the team hasn't been providing the fans with any excitement to speak of since then, Joya and her squadmates are determined to give people attending Bills games a reason to stay in their seats watching or on their feet applauding from pregame to the end of the game. This college graduate is also a big fan of the camera, being one of this season's most-photographed Jills. Of course a part of that is due to having Eileen as a captain, who seems to do a lot to get a plenty of photos for her line. And then there's also Joya's dedication to the community, with several appearances to her credit, including a few in the Southern Tier. The dedication to the community is no surprise as she seems to enjoy meeting new people and is known for being friendly by her squadmates. When it comes to tryouts, everyone knows that the girls learn a routine one week and perform it a week later for the 1st round of dance cuts. There are also a few rounds in which they need to learn a short routine on the spot and Joya is known as a fast learner, something that definitely helped her land one of the spots on the squad this season.

Monday Morning Cheerleader: Liz of the Buffalo Bills
Unless you hail from Buffalo or Cleveland — or you're a big fan of The T.O. Show — odds are you didn't exactly circle the 1-3 Bills against the 0-4 Browns on your must-see-TV schedule. Be glad you didn't. In a game so offensively ugly it'd make a Pop Warner coach cringe, Browns quarterback Derek Anderson completed two of 17 passes and the Bills rang up nine false starts before return man Roscoe Parrish muffed a late punt, and the game, in a 6-3 loss. But out of the chaos emerges the lovely Liz, a second-year Bills cheerleader, to make sense of things. The aspiring child psychologist, ripping snowboarder, and lifetime Bills fan talked T.O., the no-huddle offense, and whether coach Dick Jauron deserves his spot on the hot seat.

The Buffalo Jills at the Bills-Browns game
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, the NFL has been very involved all month long. Players can be found wearing pink armbands, gloves, and cleats while the cheerleaders around the league are sporting pink pom-poms and, in some cases, pink outfits. The Buffalo Jills were one of those cases on Sunday as the entire squad of dancers and ambassadors spent the chilly autumn day in pink jerseys with black shorts along with their pink pom-poms.
Obviously, the game itself was something that Bills fans, and a lot of Browns fans, would like to forget. However, there were some positive parts of the day as well. Prior to the game, Carvings For A Cause, an organization that has been turning fallen trees from the 2006 October Storm into artwork, unveiled its latest creation at the 97Rock Tailgate Party. After wood sculptures of former Bills QB Jim Kelly and ESPN Commentator Chris Berman, both of which stand outside the Big Tree Inn after their unveiling 2 years ago, the great Thurman Thomas was honored with his own wood carving. To help with the unveiling, Ambassador Jills Amanda, Nicole L, Kristen, and Alyssa were on hand at the party. Meanwhile, games were played by fans and calendars were signed by Keisha, Lindsay, and Heather at the 103.3 The Edge Tailgate Party just a short distance away while Laura and Courteney greeted fans coming into the Bills Fieldhouse.
When it came to gametime, after 4th year vet and 2nd year co-captain Christina delivered the game ball, Laura and Ruby accompanied Billy Buffalo and helped with the various promotions around the stadium. When it came to the dancers, they resembled the Bills in one way. The Bills have been losing players to injury this season and unfortunately, in many cases, the depth hasn't done as well as the lost starters. The Jills, likewise, were short a few girls at the Browns game, including captains Eileen and Nicole P and a foot injury to 4th year vet Stefanie. Unlike the Bills, the remaining Jills stepped up and Christina stepped up and performed well in Nicole's place while Jill stepped up as well by filling in for Eileen.

While the Bills are on the road the next few weeks and don't return to the Ralph until November 1st, the Jills are staying plenty busy, especially with some appearances this upcoming weekend.
First up is a Customer Appreciation Night Party at the Buffalo Beach House on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst. It features wine-tasting, food samples and even a swimwear fashion show with the Buffalo Jills.
On Saturday, Sweet Home High School hosts the Blondes Vs Brunettes football game and not only will the Jills be appearing and performing, but Jills director Stephanie M will be playing in the game!
Before you go to the game and the Victory Party at Average Joe's after the game, don't forget to set your DVRs for 9pm-10pm on Food Network as they air Tailgate Warriors with Guy Fieri, which was shot prior to the Bears preseason game in Lot C outside Ralph Wilson Stadium. In addition to seeing the famed Pinto and CBNG's Illegal Motion Tailgate parties in action, many of the Jills appeared throughout the day. If we're lucky, they'll even air an impromptu cheer that Kelly, Loren, and Alyssa made up on the spot.
Finally, while watching the Bills-Jets away game itself, especially the way they're playing these days, holds little entertainment value, the Jills alway make it more enjoyable and there will be a pair of Jills bartending at Sole Restaurant all game long and a pair of their beautiful rookies will also be at the Aud Sports Bar in Depew for the Edge Away Game party, hosted by James of radio station 103.3 The Edge.

NLL Girl of the Week: Amanda
If we do enough of these National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week contests, it’s bound to happen, right? You know what I mean. If we had a nickel for every NLL dancer who said “I’ve been dancing since the age of 3,” we’d be, well, rich. But leave it to Buffalo to break from the norm because this week’s Girl of the Week, Amanda, says she’s never taken a formal dance class before she joined the Bandettes two seasons ago. Impressive, to say the least. But that’s where we find ourselves this week, getting to know a little more about Amanda.

Buffalo Jill of The Week Christina
For a 3rd straight week, we take a look at one of the blonde beauties on the squad with 4th year co-captain Christina. This communications major was on the fast track almost as soon as she tried out. She was the 2006 Jills rookie of the year and was the sole rookie on that season's Events Dance Squad, joining 2 captains, 2 co-captains, and a 2nd year vet in that group. Last season was her 1st as a co-captain and rather than being overwhelmed with the added responsibility, she loved the challenge it gave her. One of the biggest things being a Jill has given Christina was teaching her how to be an effective public speaker, a skill that will serve her well when she steps behind the anchor desk on the local news one of these days. Maybe she'll end up working alongside Victoria Hong, a longtime anchor who became a Buffalo Jill for a day a few years ago with Christina coaching her along the way. http://buffaloprocheer.blogspot.com/2007/05/buffalo-jill-victoria-hong.html You can read more about Christina at http://buffalojills.net/roster/christina.php

Buffalo Jill of The Week Eileen
This week's Jill of The Week is no stranger to anyone who's paid any attention to the Jills this decade. Eileen is one of two Jills, along with Omarlla, who's been on the squad an incredible 10 seasons! Like Omarlla, she isn't slowing down either and is only getting better. She became a co-captain in 2006 and this year is her first as a full captain. Before any of that, though, she was named the Jills' Pro Bowler for the 2005 season and got a trip to Hawaii out of the deal. 2007 was another big year for Eileen as well as she was part of a group of 8 Jills to visit the troops in Iraq just before tryouts. But she wasn't finished with that as she took another trip with some squadmates to the Middle East in early August to visit troops in Afghanistan. Talk about picking up some serious airline miles! On the Afghanistan trip, she really showed her mettle as a leader as the ranking member of the Jills on that trip.
Eileen has been dancing since the age of 3, of course that's just studio work....she's probably been dancing since the womb. She's even danced in NYC, with some training from Broadway professionals. In fact, NYC was a destination for schooling for her for a while when she was looking at a career in fashion merchandising. Thankfully, she refocused towards Elementary Education and stayed here in WNY where she continues to make the fans smile with her dance moves, beauty, and personality. You can read more about Eileen at http://buffalojills.net/roster/eileen.php and for a special treat, check out the webgroup's files section this week for a look at her rookie bio. You can compare the two and see how much she's changed since then.
