In the final game of the NFL preseason, coaches generally don't play their starters much at all and instead focus on playing the players who are "on the bubble" and fighting for a spot on the team. Bills coach Dick Jauron went to extremes in Thursday night's Kid's Day preseason game against the Detroit Lions when the only starter who played was FS Ko Simpson. At RB, the top 2 players, Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson sat out while starting QB Trent Edwards and backup J.P. Losman's only action came late in the game when Losman went in for a shaken up 3rd string Gibran Hamden. The result was a generally sloppy game which did little to please the Ralph Wilson Stadium faithful who, during the game, were on record for 56,011 season tickets sold, the 2nd highest total in team history.
While the product on the field was rather poorly played, the product on the sidelines was anything but as the 48-member Buffalo Jills squad put on a spectacular show from beginning to end. Members of the Ambassador Squad dealt with long lines of autograph seekers prior to the game in Lot C while the dancers worked with the Jr. Jills one last time before bringing them onto the field with them for the pregame performance. After the pregame performance, the beautiful Jills kept the crowd interested when the game couldn't with their dance moves. The rookie Jills meshed so well with their veteran counterparts that unless you actually knew who the rookies were, you couldn't tell them apart from the vets as far as their dance skills. Here are a few, as in quite a, pictures from the evening.
